Went to Johnson Sauk Trail state park yesterday and had a great day of fishing. My first fish of the day, a 19-0 but like a dummy, I forgot to take a photo! Well the second fish was this beauty of 23-12 caught on WCB pineapple maize popped-up with one piece of white enterprise corn.
Going back real soon and taking the wife, hope to get her a PB!!

When making this packbait , do you use the toasted or untoasted panko bread crumbs? or doesn't it matter

With the quality of fish in that lake, the 30# mark is going to get broken !!!

Good job Cory!! had a lot of fun and good conversation with some great guys, even though the bite was tough.
Was thinking that maybe next time we split the pegs to be across the bay from each other, how bout it Frank?

Went to a venue that Zach (Zatesta) and Cory (Baileybird) had fished a couple of weeks earlier. The lake was clear and the fishing was great! Started out with 2 cats, both around the 6 pound mark, then came the real fun! the first carp of the day a 20-8 fish ,the first 20+ fish that I've caught in a little over a year. Caught 3 others too, a 9-12, a 10-4, and a 14, will be going back to this venue soon!! All the fish were caught on WCB pineapple and 4 season maize with a piece of orange pop-up corn on a simple hair rig.

The pics of this statue don't do it justice, it's a very unique statue and to see it in person is even better. It's located at the Oregon Dam on the Rock river. The statue of Chief Blackhawk is only a half mile upstream from this point.

I have to thank Larry Kirchner for doing a great job in organizing the derby, had a lot of fun and congrats to all the participants!!! Will definitely be back next year!!

This stuff is AWSOME!! has improved my catch rate considerably, went for a session and wasn't getting any takes, dipped my plastic corn in it and within 10 mins had a twenty on the mat, well worth the money you wont regret it
