You are the man Nick, wish all youngsters would learn from you. Im sure no one had any bad intentions chewing you out, but if we all leave litter behind you can imagine the result. Part of fishing is respect for nature and all living things. Cheers buddy!
I know what you mean, i wouldve done the same because its for the persons own good, cheers!

Sorry again...none of the garbage in the pictures was actually "mine" but we were there as a group and me being the last one to leave, i should have taken care of it.
-
The thing is i usually pick up my garbage and most of the time i pick up others at the swims i go to but it only takes one mistake to change all that, in the future i will make sure this doesnt happen again and i will pick up ANY garbage i see at the swim. I understand how pissed off it can make people because ive had people do the same and i have to pick it up.
-
that's decent of you to admit to it Nick but to be fair on you, the others should have taken their garbage when they left as well.
well done for manning up to it though <thumbs up>
Thank you, but certain members DID, while certain members DIDN'T and I did the best in my power to bring as much with me, sorry again especially to BCLT who had to take the time to clean it up...

I claim full responsibility for this and I'm very sorry but I can't go back and change that but I promise It won't happen again in the future, thats all i can do.
-
I claim responsibility for the bucket of method...I was the last one to leave and I had to bring too much extra gear back to the parking lot in a hurry or else my brother was going to be late for work, i know its no excuse, but i planned on going back to get it. As for the garbage, the beer cans and all that mess was certainly not us, or the gatorade bottles, we took all of our garbage out in about 3 trips to the garbage can carrying as much as possible. There were 2 drunk guys at our swim for most of the night which is why we had to fish the swim closer to the bridge and they left a bunch of garbage in their spot and I wasn't able to pick it up as I left. I know, I should've. Im usually very good with garbage but I just had to go, once again it is no excuse but theres nothing i can do to change that. Seeing as I was the last to leave I have to claim full responsibility for this. Im sorry, i made a mistake, im human. It won't happen again. Flame me all you want.

I read an article today stating that since the harbours water quality has improved so much, that they feel its good enough for walleye to be stocked and actually survive now. Therefore the MnR put in 100,000 (3-5 centimeter sized) walleye into the harbour, most of them at places like Pier 4 and Bayfront.

Today, Colin & I went down to the haida. I figured since the weather was a bit cooler today, and since the high winds would cause lots of waves and better oxygen at the haida that we would catch. We went down at about 9:30 a.m and we were welcomed by huge waves, with lots of weeds. To be honest, I didn't feel very confident, we couldn't even get set up properly due to the current pushing us into the weeds. I then constructed a rig consisting of a 3oz inline lead and the biggest egg sinker I had. This managed to hold bottom, and it wasn't too long before the weeds drifted away. My rod took a very short run within a few minutes of the weeds drifting off. Colin & I were already starting to feel more and more confident. We were sitting back, chit chatting when I heard "BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP-BLEEEEP-BLEEEEEEEEP-BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP" my reel was spinning at the speed of sound. I set the hook on the fish and it put up a helluva' fight. It brought me through several snags but in the end it ran out of energy and Colin was able to net her for me. She weighed in at about 9 pounds (one of the best fights I've had from such a small fish).
Then Colin's alarm bleeped away, another healthy wholesome mighty' fightin' haida carp.
Then some keebler elf in roller blades showed up and kicked some ass.
Colin hooked into a few more.
Then I hooked into 3 more but only got a picture of 2 of them, all in all it was a great session. Finally beating the heat.

Ive had one run in my last 3 (8 hour) sessions...and i lost the fish that took that run too-.-

I had this happen to me but worse. I had my back turned rebaiting one of my poles, this was on White River downtown INDPLS, IN next thing I knew my alarm was screeming. This dude was showing off for his girlfriend, going probly 40mph, about 25-30 yrds. from the bank, he didn't know wut happend, he kept hauling stripped all of 280yards+ of 15lb biggame off my reel. Melted my alarm, my reel still works but needs a clicker peice. and if I hadn't been right there my pod would of been gone. I was furious, he said he didn't see us, (5) people. People just need to show bank fisherman more courtesy and respect, we can't go anywhere on the lake thats wut really makes me mad, they have the lake to go wherever but want to fish right on top of u, burns me up!
Damn dude...and yeah I love ur point about having the whole lake yet in my situation they werent even fishing, just boating around.

Mnr And The Use Of 2 Rods
in Ontario

I like the challenge of using 1 rod, I wouldn't mind being able to double up my chances and double my catches with another rod though!
