Hey guys,
Got out the other day for a short few hour session, mostly just in search for open water. Not only did we get the rods out for about an hour... but we also landed three fish, including this stunning near 30 (came in at 28 8) for my dads first fish from Michigan this year! Now that I know the fishies are active, I can't wait to put in my first full session in Michigan this year! Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us!

Alright guys, here is my new Personal Best Common caught on Day 2 of this years ATC. She weighed in at 41lbs even, and was the first 40+ pound carp to be captured from Town Lake since 2009. Certainly started my year off with a bang, and accomplished a long standing goal of mine to break the 40+lb mark!

Finally got out for a Real Session, and a Killer one at That!

Just got back yesterday from the first real session I have had in a long time. With this summer being so busy, real fishing opportunities have been nearly non existent. It felt amazing to "get back in the saddle" so to speak, and get back on top of some good fish. My father and I fished from late Friday night, to mid-day on Sunday. In that time we managed 38 fish, including 12 over 25lbs, and 6 fish over the 30lb mark topping out with a beautiful 34lb 8oz Common for myself and 32lb 6oz Common for my dad. Really had an amazing time over this weekend. Felt great to dust off the rods, and shake out any remaining rust. Can not wait to see what the fall has in store for us.
