  1. Honestly this new draw system makes no sense to me. How can you punish a team for doing well in a competition? IMHO all this draw serves to accomplish is to actually create an incentive to do poorly on the first day. What is the point in working hard day one and pulling 4 fish from a decent swim to finish in the top five, only to end up in a poor swim Day two? You would have been better off to blank day one, and take your chances trying to win it day 2 from a top peg. I'm sure Dave and myself are not the only ones thinking about changing their game plan to suit this new draw.

  2. I simply do not understand why people keep saying we hold our fish out as far as we can to make them look big. The fact is, most of the fish I post I simply COULD NOT physically hold at arms length! I'm 150lb and not exactly NFL linebacker materal, so I dont see myself holding near 40's way far out. Here is a high 30 side angle shot that shows just how far us MI boys actually hold our fish out. The fish look big because they ARE BIG, and if anyone does not believe the weights we post, they are more than welcome to come and check it out for themselves.

  3. Actually, that was a 20 pounder, and it's not pure coincidence that you recognized and re-posted that particular shot. Just before that picture was taken at Johnson Sauk Trail State Park in Kewanee, IL, we all said, "Let's do a shot like some of those Michigan boys do." Happy to see that you recognize and acknowledge the "Michigan pose." There's no harm in it. To each his own. It's simply a combination holding a fish a certain way and enhancing perspective with a wide angle lens.

Frank, we all take pics with our phones, don't think they have a "wide angle lens" feature on there :-)

  4. Well, the "Michigan Pose" must have grown on him as he has used that as his profile pic both on CAG and FB at one time or another. All in good fun, and to each his own. After all, a photo is ones personal memory of their captures and every angler deserves the right to remember their fish as they like. Either way, can't wait to fish with all you invaders again next year, and hopefully catch some hogs :-)
