The other day my dad and i decided to try a new swim because it looked like it would hold big fish. We fished it for about two hours on friday but got nothing but a half run. We decided not to give up on the spot because it just looked to good. We decided to give it another try on Sat. with another late session. About a half hour into the session one of my rods takes a screaming run and it ended up being a 19lb 10oz common. We ended up catching 3 other fish on Sat. with none under 13lb. With our confidence boosted by our success we decided to give it a full session today ( man am i glad we did). The day started out on fire and never cooled down. After hours of hauling fish after fish we knew we had easily broken the 50+ fish mark with only 4 being under the teen mark! We added one more 19lber three 18's and a bunch of fish in the 16 to 17lb range. As i sat there during a short lull in the action my dad and I thought about the only thing that could top an incredable day such as this off..... a nice mirror. Well after the short lull was over (10 min) we hooked into a double and what do you know presto mine is a stunning fully scaled mirror. This is by far my favorite mirror I have cought to date and it was a real stunner in person. With 50+ fish banked, several high teens, and a stunning fully scaled mirror landed i could not think of a better way to top off one of the last days of my summer.
