    Time is of the essence,,,,, I need to close the order on the shirts by Feb 1, 2014......

    this is a guaranteed once in a lifetime event shirt that is bound to get attention to all that wear it :)

    Pegging Update from Austin Carp Angler

    Thank you Keith and the ACA for what you are doing,,,yes, indeed AUSTIN is a dynamic city, I've had 11 calls into to the parking department to get the meters cleared,,,,no one returned yet, but that why I started early :)

    parking for the 1st bridge is OK, that's a different division of the City onward and upward,,,,,, confirmation today that Twin Peaks will give the 25% discount for the Friday night dinner (Exclusive of liquor)

    talking to the tee shirt guys, going to be a little different this year,,,,,,awards are already manufactured and shipped,,,are we ready ?????? BRING IT ON !!!!

    Talked to the CARP GODS and there will be fish in all the swims,,,,still waiting for a return call from GOD relative to the weather,,,,but I really don't want to push him on the issue :)

    Time: 07H00 (7:00AM) Where: Your PEG What: BELL SOUNDS,,,,,rods IN the water. Start of the 2014 atc.
    Time: 19H00 (7:00PM) Where: Your PEG What: BELL SOUNDS,,,,,rods OUT of the water. End of Day 1.
    PLEASE MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR SCORECARD TO NEIL BACK AT THE HOTEL. I suggest leaving them at the front desk or if you don’t return to the hotel, make sure to bring them to the Peg Draw next day.

    It is suggested that each team have a cell phone, so captures can be called in and our leader board can be updated a.s.a.p.

    The event includes one banquest ticket per angler, I MUST get in the food reservations early in February :( therefore

    if you will need another Banquet ticket the cost is 23 bucks, ( that's our price with tip etc, etc)

    please let me know on this thread who needs them and how many,,,we will have voucher coupons ready for you at the Thrsday Social,,,,, the meal will be ....

    The City of Austin prohibits cooking or fires on the bank while fishing,,,,,and for what it's worth :( there is also a smoking ban,,,,,,

    Thanks Rick,,,,wait for the voting thread,,,,, we can NOT control the lake,,, if anyone knows of and can validate that the lake is being fished by someone in the ATC competition the Sunday before the event, up until the event ,,,,,turn that BAD BOY in, give me solid proof, and he/she will be disqualified ......end of case,,,, :)

    I am so pleased and honored to have so many great teams at this event, I only wish there were more pegs, so we as a club could make it even BIGGER.

    To everyone that registered, I personally wish you all the best of luck,,,,I will be posting an itnerary early next week, and try to get the pegs up for you guys to review as well, that way you can at least have an advanced knowledge of where you will be fishing :) Those that have not made room reservations yet, I urge you to do so as soon as possible, our special rates go BYE BYE shortly..There are two other major functions going on at the Hotel that week, there will be the AUSTIN WOMENS DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION :) and a convention of SENIOR POKER PLAYERS :) ( whatever the heck that is ??)

    To those of you that weren't fortunate enough to participate, or had other plans or other pressing duties on the days of the event, fear NOT, there is always next year :)

    I will also be advising y'all of the new leader board that will be used for this event,,,,it's a honey,,,,

    till ten,,,,,watch for the Ballot on the event, watch for the swim locations, sharpen your hooks, perfect you Method Mixture ( or Pack Bait) keep your BOILIES fresh,or your Puffs dry....see you in about 6 weeks or so,,, :)

    One thing I love about CARP ANGLERS they do have opinions! :)

    Willem is working on something for me, so we can put this to rest and get on with the mundane task of fishing the event:

    In a few days, perhaps as early as tomorrow, I will create a Ballot on the board, all will be able to see the Ballot, but ONLY team members will be allowed to vote ( Willem is working on that computer miracle for me :) )

    what we will have on the ballot is most if not all of the choices/options,,,,, old format, propsed format by Keith, draw 2, pick one, etc,. And we will also go with a big 4, or a total weight option,,,,I am not fishing the event and have no dog in this race, all I want is for everyone to have a great time, catch MONSTERS , and leave Austin as happy campers,,, :)

    Watch for the voting thread, but before you vote talk to you buds either on facebook, or via PM, and make your vote as an informed voter,, :)

    One way or another no mater what formats we decide upon, the name of the game is to have fun :) not a money event, sure there are prizes and bragging rights, but there is also the knowledge that you spent some time in a GREAT TEXAS city, surrounded by anglers from all over the country, all doing what we love to do....

    got to love this conversation,,,,,,I will call some of the guys this week and put several issues to rest,,, ie.

    1) pegging format

    2) total weight of teams as winners OR big 4 or 5 ?

    3) peg psoititions ( hope to have some answers from the Mayors office on permits this week)
