I would like to say thankyou to Frank for putting on yet another splendid competition and his understanding in my soggy exit shortly after ten.a.m. I must say that I felt even more uncomfortable once I returned home, with that voice from within saying "Why didn't you stay"? Today however I know that I made the right decision.I could have continued and caught (excuse the pun) more than a chill. I am determined that nothing will keep me away (weather permitting) from the winter events. I would also like to wish all the friends that I have made at Joliet a 'Very Merry Christmas'

Andy, I haven't seen anything regarding Michigan Fishing Licences. Is there any nearby dealers who can sell them?

I have both the green and brown Korda SubLine.in 15lb. Without a doubt the best line I have used. It does have stretch, but as one knows this can be most beneficial when a feisty carp tears off from close in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Anyone who turns up hoping to compete tomorrow must be dedicated to the finer art (not including those already registered ) If they can withstand the elements then they deserve to participate. p.s. I'm still looking for the deer.

Hey Frank, I was able to purchase a landing net handle that extends, so I will no longer require you to loan me one of yours, Many thanks for the offer in any case.

I had no idea that this tournament was politically motivated. I am still a British citizen and unable to vote.I shall however call this event ' The Romney Victory' tournament, so there ! Nice carp Jim.

Hi Frank, If it is okay,I'll take your offer of the loan of a long handle, many thanks. See you on the 10th.

I have been having trouble with the shipment of two rods from the UK. They were due here on Oct.19th,but ended up on that date between clearance from customs in Louisville Kentucky and onward transmission via UPS. Either they are completely lost or have been stolen. The shipper is waiting for reimbursement in order to send another two rods. On the last tournament in Joliet I stepped on my extending landing net handle (It no longer is an extending handle) I have arranged to have a handle shipped with rods, but just when the UPS shipment will be sending them depends on the shipper receiving funds from UPS. (P.S.I have to thank Fred for coming to my assistance in landing several fish for me.)
All being well I shall be at the Tournament on the 10th.

Just when I have purchased new waterproof clothing and warm inner garments, the weather decides not to co-operate. The forecast which includes freezing rain and snow showers has put me off from the two hour drive. Regret will have to cancel for the 13th. (Unless of course there is a dramatic change )Hope all goes well for those in attendance.
