Nice fish! Dunkel will have to come back and try again! That's carping!
I plan on it skeet3t!
I ended up being the designated net man, photographer, and announcer of alarms going off, but it was a great time. It's a beautiful lake and chatting with a good friend made the time waiting for zero runs more tolerable. I'll catch a slunger next time!

My suggestion would be to make some packbait or method mix.

Beautiful fish, beautiful girl. You're a lucky guy. I want to go to Dale Hollow sometime this year. Any tips on area to fish or is it all good?

Wacker Curv Shanks are my second choice when it comes to carp hooks. They are first in price though. They are very strong & sharp. If tied correctly they will flip and dig in in either direction, so offset point is neither here nor there IMO.

Getting out in nature is the key, catching fish is a bonus. Nice bonus indeed!

Nice result! Show a few catfish next time. No reason to hide the whiskers! LOL

Looks like a great time! Max is such a ham.

You are indeed a wealthy man!

That's a great fish! Congrats Cool Dad on a new PB! Thank you for your service!

Arrowhead Mills Puffed Corn seems to be the most used brand.

Nice catch, but it's actually more like 28.5" long.

Southern States or Tractor Supply Company should have them.

Awesome job guys! Those are some beautiful fish.

They are top notch. I have had the same experience with getting shipping charges refunded. It's a nice touch. Some companies really gouge you with shippipng charges!

I wish there was a branch of the Carpio Corporation in my neck of the woods. I'd fill out an application for sure.
Looks like an awesome day had by all!

I usually say "Get away from me kid, you bother me!" LOL
You're a helluva guy indeed!

As always a great read and great pics too. Photo #8 please enlighten me on what's needed to make that improvised bivy. That is a sweet deal. Looks like an easy up and some PVC pipes, but I figured better to ask the Ol' Captain as you were there to see it first hand. Max's bivy is sweet too but I'd be a bit cramped in that one.

This part of the rules made me LOL...
The rule here is that the angler must be prepared to eat the bait, to prove it is safe for the fish.
Good luck choking down a Fishmeal, N-butyric Acid, Minamino boilie!
I hear Mr. Big snacks on Hot Sauce flavored puffs while he fishes, so he's good with that rule!

It would be great if it was fairly close to Eastern WV.

Looks like a fun day of fishing! As always great story and pictures.

Hooray for chubby anglers everywhere!!

I never claimed you can't catch carp or don't know how to fish!! Like you said, maybe the 'truth hurts'. Boilies work for a very large number of carper's and if you want to claim everyone is lying....expect some kick back.
Ridiculous statement!
The phrase "a bad workman always blames his tools" springs to mind.
Look above, sure sounds like you're saying That I'm a bad fisherman/angler to me.
I never said everyone, you did.

Cinnamon Oil, Scopex, Texas Pete on the puff, & Vanilla mixed with cheap whiskey. Mostly use VBN or BN in packbait.
