Are these the ones from Cabelas? The link I posted was for the Specialist R, the ones in the pic look different. I'm always up for an upgraded version as long as it's beneficial to my applications.

Did you guys get both the Super and the Specialist? Besides the 15 degree bend, are the Supers that much stronger(carbon steel) feeling, looking? Was wondering if they both were 10 packs? Looks like you bought up all the Size 8's LOL!

Got my copy of MBF with bookmarks still popping out the top right next to my original copy of Carp Fever (old school books LOL!)

Joliet Day 3
in IL
Glad to see you made it over to Joliet, congrats on your success! PEG 9 is a great spot, and this year, it seemed to be the hotspot as well as PEG 17 that produced fish on a more consistant basis between the 2 bridges of Bicentennial Park. Look forward to seeing you out there next spring...

Welcome Ray! I'm from Plainfield which is right in the middle of Aurora and Joliet. There is a great group of us locally that tend to fish Downtown Joilet pretty frequently but lots of great spots in a 2 hour radius. Frank Rink organizes the Tournament Series at Joliet in Spring and Fall. Best way to get to know everyone locally is these and the forum. See you soon...
-
Thanks as always Frank for organizing a great event.

Is Jackson St. going to be opened up for more peg choices tomorrow?
-
That was very interesting. Usually they are in that, "wtf just happened" mode and the thought of continuing to feed is absurd. Piggy wasn't finished eating when you dragged her away from her late night snack, LOL!
-
As usual, a HUGE THANK YOU to Frank Rink for always putting on a great event. Wished both my PEGS were on and produced some fish but regardless, I had a great time with great people. McKenna came in the afternoon so we stayed after the PM event ended to maybe get a runner for her but PEG 26 remained EMPTY. See you on November 8!!!

Thanks to Brian Wingard's recommendations, which by the way has always been spot on, I have the Trakker NXG 8 rod holdall and absolutely love mine for my 3 Shimano LC Big Pit Reels and 12ft rods. I love Trakker's quality so much I just ordered and am waiting for the Trakker NXG 3 Rod Padded Sleeve for 3 more 12ft combos, the Trakker NXG Compact Carryall and Trakker NXG Combi Rig Pouch.

Found the thread... Congrats on the PBs!

I'm there with all of you in spirit. I hope all of you have a wonderful time, some PB's records will get broken (Cory Bohmann). Can't wait to read and hear all about it...

Thanks again Frank for organizing this. Nice to meet all the newcomers and some of the regulars for the first time. Russell, the experience you had today does not reflect the norm at this swim. Hope this doesn't discourage you for a return visit. Wish the bite was better for most of us! Until next time... Tight lines, but not from floating grass mats LOL!

I'm in, FINALLY! I have not touched a rod and reel since June. I'm dying to get back on the trail...
-
Congrats Frank! Beautiful moment... I miss you guys! I'll be back soon as life gives me some time back lol!

Congrats Bob! Looking forward...
