  1. This weekend I had the opportunity to fish with my daughter who is home from college on Winter break. The weather and the carp both cooperated. My daughter Katelyn caught 4 fish on this beautiful 50 degree sunny day here in New England. She is no stranger to a rod and reel, but these were her first carp. Needless to say, I was very proud of her. We shared an excellent day together.

  2. Although the end of November had some pretty cold warnings, the first day of December here in Rhode Island proved to be very mild. I awoke to 42 degrees at 7 AM. The fishing was not fast and furious, but I did find some action. This mirror was the biggest of the two fish I caught in 5 hours.

  3. Here is a recent 13 pound mirror that I am particularly proud of. Caught this fish on "Black Friday" November 28th, 2014. When I left the house at 7:30 that morning, the temperature was a balmy 29 degrees, by far my coldest fishing session in a while. Everyone including my wife, kids, and friends at the coffee shop all thought I was crazy for going fishing in those conditions. Well, the crazy guy caught four fish that day and was very pleased with the results.

  4. you are in luck. I see that you are already familiar with Jerome Moisand. He has sucessfully caught carp thru the ice. I recently posed the same question to him and he gave me a lot of good infomation regarding the subject. Although its very possible, there are a few issues and drawbacks related to ice carping. Give him a shout.
