  1. There are 6 teams registered so far. In previous years, there's been a good amount of teams that register in the last 3-4 weeks. Hopefully that trend continues

Just have to keep pushing! Tight lines, my friends.

I hope I can find a replacement partner in time :(

  2. I had 15 lb fish breaking my 50lb power pro line. pure garbage, not to mention the wind knots even if I always soak my spool into water before casting . never again ! The main reason power pro breaks is its rigidity, you make a small mistake and bam, mono is more "forgiving". Second reason is quality, a lot of people complain that 50% of the time, power pro comes with manufacturing defects. Third reason is that it has zero abrasion resistance. I use 12 lb Korda Subline or Korda Touchdown as a main line and 45 lb Kryston Quicksilver -Ultra High Abrasion Shock Leader . Never fails. I am too poor to afford to be cheap

  3. The #'s I am going by are the bubble numbers not the swim numbers. The count got off some how.

    #1 shultz park boat ramp...

Shallow on the west side and drops off into 2 channels. One by the boat ramp and one a bit farther out. 3-5 FOW in most places.

    #2 Douglas Park

Very shallow 2-3 foot deep across most of the swim. Small drop off to the left of the kayak dock. Catches best early AM's in may.

    #3 Blue Star bridge...

Big water with decent current Alot of options to fish here with 2 channels up to 15 FOW. A bit snaggy. I do not fish here alot for carp as it gets a decent amount of pressure from catfish guys.

    #4 The dock

5-11 FOW in front of the swim on the main river... Sand bottom.... Never fished it for carp.. Suckers get pounded from here early spring.

#5 in town dock (You can generally walk down below the dock and fish as well, the drop off is gradual so you can wade out to cast if that is your thing)

This swim is much like #4. Almost all sand out front and the same depth.

    #6 downtown park

This swim is the biggest risk with the biggest reward. I cut my teeth fishing this park as a kid with bread. People feed the ducks with corn and bread here and you will see surface feeding carp alot in the morning. There are some snags and lots of boat traffic mid day. It is very hard to find a spot to park unless you get here EARLY in the morning.

#7 I know very little about this swim... it was a parking lot up until a few years ago... Looks pretty and has a shelter... :)

I thought I am addicted but you bring a whole new meaning to addiction
