New Baits

Many of you may remember my searching for the best carp bait on the old forum.

This lead me to begin experimenting and now producing for the last 3 years a

fine line of Carp and Cat baits.

Well this Winter I purchased some light industrial equipment and refined my process in response to what I saw on our website. There was lot of interest in the corn pips from Germany. Great texture, reusable, long lasting, tough but easy to put a hook through, etc. My corn is now more plump, infused with the bite stimulants, attractants, and flavors that will make it a long session bait as good as the best boilies. It is very similar to the German corn but has the added attractions mentioned. The equipment has given me a more consistant product which I am extremely proud of. It's results speak for themselves. Proven for the tournament or casual angler. (Meticulous Maggie does the packing now and we haven't had a leakage problem from shipping since. Go figure.)

We just updated our websiteand have several new flavors this year. This first one has resulted in several 40 to 50 fish afternoon sessions for 2 of my field testers in Illinois' current cold waters. River fish that responded instantly and aggressively in cold water. Fish to 20 + pounds. I call this new product Hempola and it is available now by simply contacting me through the website, www.betterbankanglers.com. The hemp oils and other attractants are infused into the corn and release slowly at a sustained rate into the water.

I first got interested in hemp seed when match fishing with Mick Thill and was taught the correct method of preparation and use of the seed by him. Match anglers need an instant response bait or attractant. At times, especially in the spring, carp would focus on the hemp to the exclusion of other baits. I found light colored baits over a bed of hemp worked great. So my new bait, Hempola, is corn prepared with hemp seed and my formula coatings. I reccomend presenting this bait over a bed of soaked or boiled bird seed. It's the oils in the seed that get the fish going and these oils, emulsified in my process, remain at the level in the water column which you present it at. So simply find the depth the fish are at, build your baiting program and fish the hemp flavored corn over it. Both the attraction of hemp seed and fermented corn at the same time. Carp find it irresistable.

This is available now, 3-12-06 until supplies run out. You can get it direct from me or at Ed Shirley's and Henry's as I deliver it this week. Remember to give me your CAG number and get your discount in free merchandise. Your purchase will help me to sponsor an entire family and more in the St. Lawrence Kids tournament this year. Fund a Cub and Boy Scout program in Hobart Indiana scheduled for May and April and buy specialised equipment for a handicapped kids program by another club in Illinios. Thanks! jb

Dealers enquiries welcome.

PS. Next up is TIGER NUT CORN with fermented bait ready tigernuts in the mix. Along with a few tricks learned from beer making, yummy stuff.

PPS. The Tiger Nutzy is finished an available for a limitied time. Just shipped the first order. 3-17-06. The extra time in fermentation was worth it. It's going to be a hit. jb
