As many of you will know Tim Marshall passed away at the end of 2024 after succumbing to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. This is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor neurons (nerves that control muscle movement). ALS causes these motor neurons to degenerate over time until they eventually die. When the motor neurons die, the brain can no longer initiate and control muscle movement. When voluntary muscle action is progressively affected, people may lose the ability to speak, eat, move and breathe.

Tim's wife Susan has donated his extensive Carp Book collection to CAG with the aim of raising funds for ALS Research & Support or the Inter Faith Council which provides community programs and support to those in need..

All proceeds from the sales (except for mailing costs) will go to ALS North Carolina https://alsnc.org or IFC https://www.ifcweb.org/

As of June 25th we've raised over $2,600 for the charities!

Shipping is free to CAG Members and charged at cost to non-members.

Attached is a list of Tim's carp books together with prices based on current values.

Please take a look and email me (iain@carpanglersgroup.com) with any you are interested in buying. I can then determine shipping costs (free shipping for CAG Members) and we can then arrange payment to one of the charities.

Thank you everyone!
