  1. karl just curious if there is a preffered cup size one needs in order to excell at catching mirror Carp ???LOL :D

    Dude

I just spent the whole memorial day weekend Friday through Monday tearing about the desert on my moto - x bike, so the breast area was very tender this morning to say the least!!!

I will take your most supportive bra in a size 46 please, underwired, and in black lace please (To match my boots!).............Cup size not important, as squeezing them in would be less painful than the pain I am going through now!!!! :D

I hope a check will suffice...........

    Karl :D

  2. Karl,

Yes, and it is much different. I won't respond after this, but if you can't see the difference between the two, then you're only kidding yourself. Parking at Peg 19 (snags are 35yds from shore, Island, 40yds...) and placing a bait exactly where that thing will be, and is fed daily (as these fish clearly would NEVER make these weights on natural diet alone), is not my cup of tea.

Let me ask YOU this, what if I grew a 90lb carp in a garden pond, picked it out, would it be a World Record?

World's largest carp, yes. Awsome fish, yes. I just don't understand why you seem to be trying to change my feelings on this....

BTW, you mirror #'s suck this year.

    Dude

I ain't trying to change anybodies mind, I hope your convictions are too set in to be influenced by an old fart like me.

What I am trying to point out is that regardless of how big the lake is, and 125 acres isn't really small, the fish is the biggest carp ever caught in the World, therefore by definition it is a World Record.

The fact you and a few other funny un's don't accept that is neither here nor there............

The fact remains it is a record.

Would I fish for it??? Probably!

Would I claim it as a new world record if it was over the current one..........Probably!!

Do I really care that you and a couple of other purists wouldn't.........Not really.......To each their own!!!

Just for the record though.......At what point would you personally say a water is big enough, for its inhabitants to be considered worthy of true records. 1000 acres? 2000 acres? 20,000 acres? Is their a maximum amount of bait in pounds or tonnes that you would put on a lake before a potential record is disqualified?............If there is what would that be for say a 60 acres lake, then what would it be for a 4000 acres lake?.........See how silly it sounds??

I ain't kidding anyone mate, and I know that if the venue was just up the road from many of the detractors both on here and in the UK, they would be fishing for it.........And claiming it if they caught it.

The fish obviously has the potential to be that weight, the Raduta fish got larger on a natural diet you know!!!

Your prerogative not to be into fishing for a fish like this, but the artificial bit versus the wild water bit just gets right up my nose!!! Smacks of insanity to me!!!

BTW I am far to busty these days to be catching mirrors, (until my next visit to the magical mirror lake later this year, then we will see what my mirror totals look like!!!) :D :D :D

    Have a good one fatty!! :D :D

  3. But what if the next World record came from one of the hundreds of lakes in Texas??? (Hypothetically speaking of course)

Whilst I was taking the tour of the fishery at Lake Athens I was amazed to learn that Texas has only ONE true natural lake, and that every other was man made....... :D :D :D :D

Would there be the same old bleating that it was caught from a man made artificial lake.

I would hazard a guess that many of us fish 'artificials' every weekend, I know I do.

The FACT remains this is THE World record and all this pomp and purity is rickydoodleus!!! But does throw a better light on the authors.

Quick question to Scotty O.......(I'll do it here to save the mods from having to 'preview' two posts)

Had you by chance on your recent trip to Raduta managed to catch a new World Record (Again hypothetically speaking here!) would you have claimed it as such after all isn't Raduta an 'artificial'?? (River Danube dammed and areas flooded.)

Is there a difference between a 125 acre man made lake or a 2500acre man made lake (Apart from the obvious).......Both clearly artificial!!

    Karl :D

  4. Thats funny !!! :D I think at one time we all have. the other day i had the usa sales manager for quaker oats in my store and we/I :D talked at length about how we use their oats as bait im gonna send him the link to see that great free plug they got ....maybe a national discount .....who knows........ :D

Ever the business man eh?? :D :D :D

  5. Just got around to getting some photos off the camera.

I thought this one in particular was one of the best of the trip.

Middle of a good downpour, Carol doesn't even bother getting a coat, just straight into the fish!!!

She will kill me when she finds out I have posted this one!!!

  6. I caught the same broken back carp 3 times in one night in Kingston (Hudson R.) a few years back.

My guess it was an opportunistic feeder due to it's "condition".

I posted about this some time ago.

I fished a local lake here in California, where I caught this scrawny little deformed fish of around 6 or 7lbs in the morning, my wife caught it again around lunchtime, and then Borofc had it just before dark, nothing much else was caught if I remember rightly, so I guess it was getting its fill while the rest were away.
