You don't live too far from me - an hour or so. We should try a few of the lakes south of you. I'm going to visit one on Saturday without my rods for a look around. I'll let you know if they look carpy..

Have you tried asking someone? There is always someone who has seen them or knows of them in the area. Don't believe the sizes they tell you - a 20lb carp to someone fishing for perch is about 5lb tops...

I live in Eastern PA and do Euro carp fishing (of sorts) - except I can't use a throwing stick for the life of me - ask Hairrigger.
I'd be happy to share the bank with you if you wanted to go fishing.

If you are in the PA region, I would gladly fish with you. I do recommend going to DC as Mark says ....I fished it for the first time last week. You see the sights, can stay in a nice hotel and get some cracking fishing. What more could you want!?

It was really great to meet you BigBird....and I want to hear more of your stories from work - you have one of the more interesting jobs on the planet!
I wish I could have met Lawrence again (the funny talking guy you couldn't remember the name of) as I met him at the NJ/PA border wars a couple of weeks prior to this event.
My excuse for sleeping was that I got up at 3:30am to fish this event and after a nice big kebab courtesy of Mark, I feel right asleep. I sort of know what I am doing, but thanks for posting a picture of my 12.5lb record DC carp
I hope to fish with you again, maybe I'll take my own funny accent down south and you can show me how it is done with your gang.

No that is a carp. I looks like an old-mirror hybrid as the scales are very uneven on its back. Makes it look like the scales are falling off a bit.

They moved their online vids to youtube...
the youtube versions are broken in 3 parts:
despite the small fish we land in this show, Matt, Donnie, Rebecca and I have all landed planty of mid 20's from this lake. In the past we mostly fished it in the spring, and this show was in the fall, so that may have something to do with the small average size.
