  1. When looking at the pic notice the sandy banks on the far side? B) I plan on pegging that side as it stands at the moment. Could change though if conditions change. I'll do my best to stay out of the "high traffic" areas.

We should be able to drive very close to the pegs and at least unload/load your gear.

  2. Congrats to Tim and Rick. Both are class acts and represent CAG well.

Here is a pick of competitors each side of me Richard inpeg 29. I was in peg 30. Brian and Mark were in pegs 31 & 32.

Second pic is the fish I was lucky enough to get on what proved to be a tough day of fishing.

Events like these are always great to attend and the fishing part is just a bonus. Enjoyed seeing everyone.

Big thanks to Mark & Tommy and the rest of the DC crew who did an excellent job putting this together and it is much appreciated.

Big thanks to Mark, Tommy and GB(probably some others) for making DC the destination for this years event. B)

Should be a good time looking forward to seeing everyone.

  4. How many teams so far?

unfortunately, I can't make it, I have other plans that weekend.

    Matt,

Sorry to hear you won't make it.

Right now we are at 15 confirmed teams. We were expecting 25-30 this first time. I think a few more teams plan on giving me their registration info at the CCC this weekend.

Leaderboard should go up the first week of October.

  5. Dave has the issue of the local "meat fishermen" been addressed? After reading the fish-in write up I feel it should be addressed before the event rather than waiting until it happens. Just my opinion.

    Jason

    Jason,

It was addressed last year at the first meeting. Our event takes priority. If possible we won't even be pegging the extremely high traffic areas anyway.

    Cheers,

    David

  8. We are about to start the PR campaign on this event and just wanted to bring everyone up to date.

    General Info

You can find the registration form on the above link along with payouts($15K Guaranteed!), etc.

Should be a great time. We have created a partnership to host the peg draw at the local Cabela's which I hear is fantastic.

Mike, Dan and Steve have agreed to post up info related to what they are catching and some venue info leading up to this. Thanks for that!

Any questions send me a PM or email. You can also join and post on the Tournaments forum. We will need 8-12 Marshal's and will be paying for expenses.

Hope to see you there. Even if you want to come hang out and see what it's all about please join us.

  9. Joel,

Thanks for posting the pics. Definitely a magical session. It's not often the fish and weather cooperate like that. About the time we would feel rested say we were "Ready for another run" one of the rods would go screaming off..

Solar Top Banana 18mm boilies, a PVA Stik mix that had mostly the World Classic Baits Yellow Scopex method mix seem to be what they were after on that particular day. 9 runs, 8 landed including a 29_08 and a 32_09.
