  1. No doubt the fishing has been above average so far for Hominy. Lets just hope it continues for the Field and Stream Dude and the Tulsa World Journalist coming out to write about Carp Fishing in the USA on Friday. :D

Heres is a pic of Al with Mirror number 5 under the moon!! There are a several more pics on the forum under the ACS Tournaments Forum Day 2 which have several of the new Leaders Team Wackerbaits.

  2. All orders we receive over $50 will receive a FREE Tackle, Tactics & Tips DVD while supplies last!!!!. :D

A dynamic 3 hour Guide to Modern carp Angling designed to show all aspects of carp angling and all levels of expereince.

Carp up to 52 lbs are caught with the average weight at 40lbs!!

You may need to watch these on your PC some older DVD players may not play it.

  3. For this event we have a live leaderboard that we will update as the catches are reported and recorded at the event...LIVE!! :D

Also there is a new ACS Tournaments forum we will utilize to upload pics and information as it happens.

    ACS Tournaments

It has just been verified Eagle Claw is sending a representive to have a look at this style of carp angling.

Also a journalist from Field and Stream will be in attendance to write an article.

Lets hope the fish cooperate!! :D

  4. Matt & Louis,

Awesome job guys. Thanks for the BCT plug! I owe you a few beers each for that. :D

Hopefully we will get more of these local shows to do some filming about carp angling. They are looking for new things to film, So just ask if you have a local outdoor type show. Lets face it.. how many shows on "How to fish a plastic worm" can one do(or watch)!! :D

A few years back BBC and I did one here in Oklahoma I'll shamelessly plug. :D BBC stole the show.. :D

Previous thread on Outdoor Oklahoma Show featuring BBC

BBC was asked several times for his autograph at the OK Outdoor show recently held.. :D

    Cheers,

    David

  5. Recieved mine in Oklahoma.

You da' man Stewart!! Awesome job Bro. :D Knowing you it will also only improve this point forward. Zach also deserves some credit for starting this and getting the advertising needed to fund this project.. :D

Thanks to all the writers also, there are some great articles in this issue. CAG needs to get more anglers out there to submit articles so the NACA can expand in size and even work towards being more frequent(i.e. bi-monthly, monthly?). :D I'll do my best to get a couple articles in there myself in '08!! :D

  6. I added this on the ACS Forum recently:

Payouts will be $500 from each team going into the cash prizes:

    40% =1st

    30% = 2nd

    20% = 3rd

    10% = Big Fish

Still working on tackle sponsors for other prizes.

Leaderboard updates to report live scores has been beta tested(reason for delay) and it looks like that will be working for the event.

Eagle Claw will have one of there upper management people there observing I'm told. They are very interested in gearing up for th carp market both here and abroad. Some other media outlets have contacted me wanting to see what this is about also but they always wait until the last mnute to commit.

    Should be a great event.

Next years ToC will be held at another venue TBA. Hominy will serve as a Regional South Central location in mid April of '08 for those of you that can't make it this time. It will go back to being a 72 hour event.

I'll be going over the first of October to clean out swims and will report back the lake conditions then. The lake has been 100% capacity all year. So waders may be needed for some pegs. There is a CAG fish-in mid October for anyone wanting to pre-fish the venue.

    Cheers,

    David

  7. Just moving this back to the top. Have a bout 6 teams signed up so far. The leaderboard will go up in September. Sholud be live as the scores come in this year.

Had some media interest again that may show up to observe. They never commit until the last minute. Once that is firmed up I'll be glad to pass on the info.

    Cheers,

    David

  8. What a great event. Participants were awesome and the Community of B'ville was awesome. Then the carp themselves cooperated to say the least! :D

There are some pics post on the Gallery section ACS Tournaments Hompage

Also here are a couple of pics from the event related to this thread. A couple nice Mirrors caught by Pat and Fran.

Thanks again to all those involved. Hope to see you and some new faces the 2nd Annual ACS NE Regional's next year.

  9. The new website for ACS Tournaments is up and running. Sorry for the delay.

    ACS Tournaments

There is still time to get in on this event. The community of Baldwinsville has gone to great lengths to make sure everyone has a great time.

I'm still working on firming up some tackle sponsors.

Want to officially congratulate Doug Reed and Rod Mills the '07 ATC Champs who won a free entry to this event.

    Cheers,

    David

  10. Heres one from a recent tripwhere I caught a load of mirrors.

I haven't posted them because I fear for Neils sanity!!!!!!! :D:D:D

    Karl :D

    Karl,

    Nice going there :D

Got to love those ID mirra's..

A trip out there in '07 to get an ACS Regional's there for '08 is going to happen. :D

  11. You can come by the Red Mill when you get into town and see what the latest is.

    Red Mill Inn info

Mike has been kind enough to bait up a few different spots for us.

I will be at the RMI Tuesday morning. We should know more by then where the fishing will take place. But there is loads of bank space all around the area so it should be a problem. Last time I was there we went to a park just up from the canal and had a few in less than an hour.view_redmillinn.jpg

    Looking forward to it!! :D
