Keith,
Agreed they respond well to bait. What about when pegging putting a folgers can(1 gal) of plain particles in front of each peg on Thursday?
-
Closest angler to you is in Stillwater (Evan Cartibiano) and we all fish Sooner Lake once in awhile. I believe our State Chair/Dave Burton has a get fish-in scheduled at lake Hominy in late April.
I've personally started fishing KS a lot more now that the 3rd rod permit is an option. I'm sure I'll hit Montgomery Lake a couple of times in April.

Good luck all. Fishing big events in Romania both in '99 and '02 were both great experiences. So not only do well, but enjoy the adventure as well.
-
What part of KS are you in?
-
Good Luck John.

Thanks for organizing this Bob. Looking forward to participating during my east coast trip.

That is a cool idea. Like the yellow jersey on Tour de France.

Great job Dave. I think that was something we did years ago that seemed to have been missing in the last few years. Kind of like fishing we quit doing what works until we realize we need to go back to basics. Bud Yancey would be proud.

They're in the pile with all the ATC goodies

Great job Neil. Looking forward to the ATC and being on the bank. I've been looking at hard water around here for too long!

You'll draw 2 poker chips with peg numbers from a bag. You then have 10 seconds to decide which to keep and which to put back. You'll take the chosen chop to the table with envelopes and exchange it with the corresponding envelope.

BCT can donate some rig basics-
Baiting needles
Bait stops
Hooks
Etc
BCT will also donate a $100 gift certificate to the State Chair deemed to be State Chair of the year by the CAG BOD.

Thanks for helping pull the wagon Ed!

Arrived in the mail today at 74003

Thanks I never did get clarification on the "fishing halfway to the next peg". It means you can cast halfway to the next peg, but must stay within a reasonable distance of your designated peg. i.e. 20 yds each side? We've had a few interpret it the can walk half way to the next peg and fish if they wish.

Even working on my iPhone. Thx.

Keith,
$20 per person / $40 per team ?
What about Big Carp?
-
Thanks Neil & Willem for getting this set up for the competitors to vote on.
-
Appreciate all the hard work!
-
If all pegs produce with hard work why are we even having this discussion?
Seems using that as the standard then the change rewards someone that doesn't fish hard (or smart)Day 1 which was the original point I tried to make?
-
Should be a great part of the country to explore. Good Luck!

Sometimes mine does that on my iPhone, but if I het it a second time it will usually load up.

A Big 4 with different pegs drawn like it has been in the past makes more sense than the new idea to me. Big 4 is much easier on the organizers and pegs are a more level playing field. It does also keep Teams he game until the end.
I thought we'd had a Big 4 winner previously? Just not the overall winner.
I'm up for whatever, but the 3 options have such different approaches it would be nice to know which way we're going? That said even if we take a vote at the social is OK.
Just looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good laugh.

We'll just agree to disagree on many of your points Keith. See you in February.
All I need to know is what the rules are so I can try and chose the best strategy possible to get my name on the trophy for the 2nd time.
Nebraska Carpers?

If you're interested in mirror carp around 20lbs have a look at Box Butte in the NW corner of the state. Great bank access in many areas of the lake. I did a quick little video on You Tube just search Big Carp Quest Nebraska you should find it. You'll also find some idiots that spear fish there on you tube as well.
