    What about the Chicgo River southside below Lake Shore Drive. Park in the lot under Lake Shore Drive. I t has been awhile since I have been there and fished. parking fee was not too high. This is the stretch of river where the original CCC was held. Fish-On Bill

    My name is John and I'm in Darien, IL. I have recently taken up fishing with my son (8) and we're enjoying it a great deal. There's a small retention pond near our house and we stumbled upon loads of bullheads in there (boring!) and snagged into some carp that were an awesome fight. I then decided to learn more about them and some Google searches led me here. Hours of reading about hair rigs and boilies has left me excited, but in a slightly unfullfilled way. I think I get it, but until I try it, I just don't know how well I can make all this strange stuff work. So, would anybody here be up for a bit of "on the job" training as it were? I'd love to meet up with some of you guys/gals and learn how it's really done. I am self-employed and have a very flexible schedule and don't mind driving a bit either. Beer, burgers, bait, or any other appropriate bribes would also be happily considered in exchange for your time and knowledge. I don't aspire to be a tournament fisherman, just competent enough to enjoy a great day of fishing with son; and then to pass that information on to him, so he can do the same with his son some day. Please feel free to post or PM and let me know if you are interested in meeting up. Many thanks and I truly enjoy all the information!

    Come to the Chicago Carp Classic at Montrose Harbor on Sept. 10th and you will see carp fishing at its best. There will be carpers fishing on Sunday and you could meet up with some of us. Fish-On Bill

    What's on the menu for the CCC dinner? Also what kind of drinks? Also what if someone comes with a CCC participant is there a price for them to pay for the dinner? Fish-On Bill

    The Miller Park event ended early on the decision of CAG members. Frank the person you mentioned was not a CAG member and I offered him a membership to be eligable for prizes. It is a shame that the first thing this individual asked me was how much was it going to cost to fish with us when I said nothing he was amazed. He stated to me that you money guys told him he did not need to be a CAG member to fish the money tournaments you put on.He also stated that you money guys offered little or no help to him accept to take his money for tournaments. My events are totally free and that includes no side pots for anything. The events are to attract possible new members and enjoy the sport of carp fishing. We fish for long hours and not short sessions just to make people happy that money is involved and keeping people away from joining CAG. Fish-On Bill

    If anyone is planning on attending the Miller Park Spring Fling please let me know. I only want to chum areas for the number of people coming. The major portion of the weekend is to be dry with a chance of rain Saturday night.A new member Chad Bettisch has donated a rig tying system that allows you to tie all your hair rigs the same length. It will go to the largest carp of the weekend. Chad and myself are not eligable for the prize. See attached picture. Fish-On Bill

    First off Saturday is April 30th and Sunday is May 1st. I would like to register except I will be gone when the Big 4 logo can be printed. I will be fishing on May 1st. What can I do? Fish-On Bill

    Sounds good Zach. The weather will be improving next week. The extended forecast is Friday high of 65 and low of 49. Looks like it will finally be dry. Will chum 2 or 3 days before the event. Chumming with boiled maize already have it cooked up and ready to go. If anybody is planning on attending let me know. i want to keep the chum areas down to a minimum so the carp will be more concentrated. Hope to see a few of you Chicago guys down here. There is some Indy guys coming also. Fish-On Bill
