  1. So far a couple fish.....cory b has 2 in the 8-10 lb range, jacob has a 13-9 and myself a 9-12. A few other anglers have lost fish to the weeds and snags. For those who are interested, I will post updates till my phone dies.

  2. Happy to see a full house for the inaugural 2013 WCCL session on May 5! Thanks, Tracy, for setting all this up.

I did a little prefishing today at a venue a bit west and south of Jackson Harbor (but not Joliet), and managed this three-footer. I think it's already spawned out, though, so I doubt it would make 30 pounds. :P

    Looking forward to May 5.--Frank

Wow, Is the the rare hawaiin popcan common?

  3. What happened to killing Bambi?

I'm heading back to Indy to watch my brother/nephew torture themselves Saturday in the Monumental half marathon/marathon while keeping track of my daughter's progress Sunday at the Sandy ravaged New York Marathon. No fishing for me.

I'll try to pick up a prize or two from the ever-generous Jim Donlan for a 4th place through 7th place prize for next Saturday's election month tournament and celebration of yet another Obama victory! Other prizes will include 20 piece packets of Larry's favorite--plastic corn. Good luck!

    More information here!

    Tournament website here!

Sign up on this thread if you will be participating!

If there are eight or fewer attendees, three rods, rather than two, will be allowed!

    Anglers attending so far:

    Dennis Davis

    Grahame Johnston

    Mike Olinger

    Cory Bohmann

    Larry Seeman

    Anthony Sladek

    Frank Rink

Looks like you will be with the kumbaya boys on sunday, no marathon to keep track of now. Sunday you should have meetings with dennis, to lead him to his victory on the 10th.
  4. Im going to pass on

Im open for 20.00 or 25.00 per person. Now we have to find some suckers! :icon_smoking::lol:

I'm going to pass on this side event this time around. You guys will have plenty of time before the event to throw a few teams together, that will compete againist each other. I would just see what happens and ask around prior to the event saturday. This shouldn't be a problem since a few you get there hours before the event starts anyways :P:lol:.

  5. Good luck to all who will be attending the big CCC in about three days. Here are a few helpful "tips":

    1. Keep in mind that it's outer Montrose with clear water, timid fish, and 80+ leads hitting the water.

    2. Keep in mind that it's fun and sometimes exciting, but we must always maintain a healthy, well balanced perspective. Have fun, be safe, and give it your best shot, but don't obsess over bait, tactics, and tackle. A lucky peg will get you much more than those three things.

    3. Keep in mind that it's just carp fishing. The CCC is mainly a social event to catch up on the organization and to catch up with friends and fellow anglers. It also gives us an opportunity to throw a little extra $ into CAG's coffers by participating in raffles and auctions.

    4. Keep in mind that it's not the end of the world if you don't land a fish. We don't want to see anyone at the end of a rope. Good luck to all.--Frank
