Just keep in mind. Last time it rained at joliet, records were set for numbers and total weight

That 17-11 brings up another issue/question about carp fishing. Notice that the fish had no right eye. Many anglers have caught carp with just one or no eyes, yet we sometimes get obsessed with bait colors. That 17 pounder was fat, healthy, and obviously eating well. It doesn't appear as if eyesight is a major factor in the feeding habits of these fish, or is it?
Maybe it would weigh 30# if it had 2 eyes

Thats the natural desplaines river, Ive fished there a few times very, very shallow and never did any well. I didnt know there was a discharge in that area. Maybe try under route 83 bridge in shipping canal
You have to wind around thru service roads, were the old junkyards were on the west side of rt 83. I would go out with chibigtee for a session, if you want to catch fish from the north branch in the city

If anyone is interested , the brand new Borrow-tidy I won at the indy top 10 event is for sale for $100.00. I will bring it with me on the 26th if someone wants to buy it . Keep in mind this item retails for $180.00+ Tax . I'm letting it go at almost half the retail price. Pm me or post here if youre interested.
