    Great evening of fish'n

    Well I had a great success at lavon this weekend and got another carp convert a college buddy of mine called me up on thurs. ask'd me if I wanted to go fishing with him at lavon I'm not one to say no to a fishing invite as most of ya'll know so we head out friday afternoon and stoped at the bait store my buddy was spending monry hand over fist on bait Worms, Minows, 3 new Lures, about $23 bucks total I smiled when I walk'd up to the regestier with $5 in canned corn He laugh'd in amusment what are you going to catch with that?!? he ask'd I smile purchesd my corn and said nothing we were fishing at his father in laws house he lives on the lake down bethany Rd. of 75 we where all set up by about 7:oo after getting all of our gear down to the swim and unloaded I open'd one of my cans of corn and begian heaving it into the water He laugh'd I smiled and said nothing he baited up with worms and Minows and was casting lures getting back lashes and curesing his bait casting reel with words that i won't mention here I was kick'd back in my chair smoking a nice cigar and enjoy'n a Lager I smiled at him and said nothing about 45 min's into it he landed a nice sand bass and begain to gloat taunt me for my fishing style about 1 hour into I got my first run 7lb carp on the bank he stopped gloating another 20 min. go by 10lb carp on the bank I begain to gloat and poke fun at his 5 dollar lure he catches a catfish that was 11" long thinks that it is much bigger when fighting it.......before he can get the hook out another run for me and another 7lb carp on the bank this was about 3 hours 2 Lagers, 1 cigar and a 1/2 can of corn into the session He stops smiling all together I offer corn he refuse'd another 45 min. go bye another run for me 12lb carp on the bank and the biggest fish of the evening he swallows the pride takes the corn and lands nice 6lb fish 1/2 hour later he's smileing agian asking for more corn and now negleting the 5 dollar lure all together he follows that catch with a 8lb 5lb and 10lb I catch another that I think was around 6-7 we were no longer weighing them at this point and a couple of small ones not worth mentioning we stopped fishing about 1:30 am he concided that it was one of the best days of fishing he has ever had and will now be fishing with "at LEAST one rod baited with corn :D"

    so the Virus continues to spred and we add another caro angler to or ranks :D:D

    I was umm B@$$ fishing and I caught a large gar on a rattletrap came home got on the net and started searching for gar fishing sites ended up landing a the DFWroughfishinggroup and met up with Dave M. to gar fish when he baited up a Rod with sweet corn tossed it out and BLAMO carp on this happend over and over and over again he showed me how to thread the corn on the hook and to chum went back to my old b@$$ swim chumed it and started catching carp WAY more fun then bass fishing havn't looked back although I might still catch a Gar here and there :D
