  1. I am leaving an update here for the business.

If you have not received an order please be patient, as I am trying to get things out and shipped successfully.

My health is not the best at the moment, so everything is being done on a day to day basis.

Please be patient as everything will be out and shipped by Tuesday.

The USPS has finally claimed they lost 4 of our orders, so those orders are also being re made ie: Zach, Eddie, Thomas, and 1 Int'l order!!! We do try to not let anything happen to orders, but sometimes things go beyond our control.

Thanks for being patient as we get things straightened out!!

    Thanks

    RED DEMON BAIT MANAGEMENT

Frank, I got my bait today! thanks! looks awesome.....

  2. Unfortunately, we don't know who did it. If we did..I don't care what group it was, the INDIVIDUALS involved are responsible...and should be punishised. It really is unfair to start tossing speculation or blame to the people that some here may not agree with, just because you would like to believe (or do believe) they were responsible. This goes for not only "those" people, but other anglers as well(the bass fisherman quote earlier for instance..which is no more or less likely). Truth is...alligator gar are hated by a large percentage of people, unfairly...but it is what it is. To a great extent, they suffer the same fate as carp in that respect..in that they get none! If some kind of evidence could be found to point toward the individuals responsible..I have to believe there would be rules agains that, even if they were something as simple as anti-littering..SOMETHING to hit the pocketbook at least a bit.

Also...like phone said, we've instituted a rule about the subject...a rule I myself argued against for years, but have come to accept, and even understand.

Far better we put our efforts into education about such fish(gar, carp, bowfin, all of the misfits out there), then to immediately start pointing fingers of blame, when we just don't know.

It would have been interesting to get a closer look at the fish, and see if there was any obvious kinds of damage.

they are not alligator gar, they are long-nose...there might be one alligator gar in the mix...but it was hard to tell from a distance...

  3. in what has to be one of the strangest captures I have seen....young and I were fishing tonight and when he was bringing his rod in to check his bait...a gar nailed his weight...I am guessing?! I was able to net it and when we got it to the bank the line was tangled around its teeth...we carfully got the line out and let it go..but not before snapping a quick photo..gar are awesome fish!

all photos from my blackberry 8100

Well after the ATC I went back to work for 2 days tuesday and wednesday....then it was off to meet Karl at probably my :angry:favorite lake to fish ever...its a really tough venue and Karl had explained he talked to some of the other local guys here and they pretty much said have fun your gonna blank... :D well thursday I woke up early to head out to the lake to meet Karl and he reported back that the fish were showing every where and he had already had 1 run and had only been fishing for about a hour...I was stoked! it generally takes at least 24 hours to get on the fish....he said that they were spawning and he had seen some really nice fish moving around...well I got to the lake and got all set-up Karl hadn't had much more action but I was pretty sure we were going to haul that night as it seems to be a night time venue...durning the course of the day we watched as soom really impressive fish thrashed around in the grass right in front of us and Karl as more of a wind up asked me if I thought I could pick one up...why not, so when the fish were right in front of us I went out and walked over to them and reached down and grabbed the largest one I could...I think I was more shocked then anything when I was able to pluck it out of the water....I was more shocked at its size when I lifted it out we estimate it to be around 35-38lbs sweet! should have gotten a photo but I just sort of lowered it back into the water and it swam off with about 6 nice males chasing it ;) well I thought this is pretty cool so I waded around and watch as the fish spawned all around me....I think the highlight was a large koi bright orange with a black strip down its back came with in about 2 feet of my legs and swam around for a bit before jetting back out into the depths.....the sky started looking NASTY really nasty infact in texas when you see clouds like this you should just run...Karl had never seen anything like them before...so I down played it a bit for the sever storm noddy :D aaaahhhh it can be bad but its not anything to really worry about :D

well as it turned out we missed the worst of it...we got really really lucky as it went just north of us by about 6 miles....we just got about 2.5 inchs of rain in just under a hour and some wind but only gust up to 30-40 MPH on a side note the NNB shelter made it through with flying colors :D we did manage to land a couple of catfishin in the worst of it though....figures....well once it died down I head off to bed and karl caught a couple more catfish before winding his rods in....somewere in that story I over looked the fact that I missed a fish on my float rod and lost another fish to a hook pull....Karl was cool about it...well I slepted like a baby as it rained off and on all night but nothing really to nasty Karl came back down to the water at about 9:00 and had made the call to back it up and head back to Cali...it was great getting to fish Karl and I look forward to doing it again next year!

well this was friday and Neil and Jackie were supposed to be showing up later that night so I had the day just to relax and fish by myself for awhile.....so I put my mind to catching some fish....and about hours after Karl had left I had my first fish out a nice fat 28lb+ fish I didn't have anyone to take photos for me so I slapped my size 13 flip flop next to it for scale....I had found out about the fish dying from the ATC and figured I would try and get them another one this would have been a good size but it had a jacked up tail....so I just let it go

a short while later I landed another skinny male I didnt even weigh it....I would guess a low 20

I would guess a hour later I landed another fish that was a low 30lb and it to would have been great for the TPWD but it had a jacked up tail to :D

well I was able to get on the TFF from my blackberry and was warned that some more REALLY nasty weather was on the way...great....then I spoted these coming over...inverted vortex much?!?! :D

well I figured it wouldnt belong before I was dead so for prosperity's sake I had better photo my final resting place...notice the nice big dead tree behing my shelter!!

The weather got pretty nasty...but I ended up not dying.....I did how ever mange a couple of more really nice fish but the battery had crapped out on the blackberry and I didnt have anyway to charge it....but trust me they were nice :D

the weathe had turned to **** and it was getting close to 9:30 and neil hadn't showed up yet....well I was waiting for him to get there to go grab a bite with me...but he never showed....so I just ate some canned ravoli and went to bed....I got awoken by a screaming run I hit it and new I didn't have another catfish....awesome! I played the carp in and it turned out to be a great looking 31lb around 14oz fish hard to get a weight in the rain with a bank stick as a weigh bar looking at the scales upside down :D perfect in the sack! it was about that time that I heard a deisel in the RV park...and I saw that trade mark "knight rider" light under the tailgate....neil was there...so it couldn't have been to late...so I walked up to great them and let them know I just stuck a 30+ in the sack for TPWD...who has assured us the problem has been fixed! and I asked what time it was 11:30 as it turned out....so I told neil once he got situated if he could bring me a net that would be great...he made it down in about 30 minutes and I had alrady gone back to sleep I jumped up visted a bit and they headed off to bed....I ended up catching 2 more mid to high 20's durning the night and TPWD showed up and got the fish first thing in the morning....I never did get a photo of it but I can always go back and get one :D

I ended up winding in and going to hang out at the freshwater fisherys center for awhile Mark did a great job durning his presentation and the Carp Anglers Group was the only one to be given 2 presentation times....I met a really cool guy named wayne that took me through the inner workings for the center very very cool...put my mind at ease about the fish as well....I am sure others that were there will coment on the fisherys center but it was really cool and lets just say that the carp is going to be one of the star attractions!! intresting post script it turns out that it was a new lake record so I guess I get that as well....cool deal....

well I ran into town to get a charger for my phone! I really wanted to talk to my special lady friend :D and check the forums and mostly rub it in a couple of guys faces about the fish I had been catching B) so I got back to the swim baited it back up and got my phone charged....also the weather turned out to be amazing you get may be half a dozen days in texas were the weather is perfect not to hot not to cold and not that windy...well saturday was one of them...but I didnt want to take anymore chances with the big dead tree so I moved my shelter....

I continued to catch alot of fish...mostly high to mid 20's I did take a quick photo of this on cause it had a massive mouth...Frank I might need to get some of those boilies like you rolled karl HEEHAW!!

well neil and jackie returned from the carp seminars they were giving for the TPWD they had a great turn out 30-40 people in attendance I am sure neil will comment further but again kudos to them for getting the ball rolling with the TPWD and then turning it into a gaint snowball that will hopefully go out of control....and he didnt stop there he got in on the action him self with a nice fat fishie...looking back on it we should have weighed it but oh well....

and it just keeps getting better.....Larry the man that runs the freshwater fisherys center came down to visit us this morning and being the "glamor carper" that I am....was more then happy to pose for photos in and around all my fishing tackel...Neil can commit here as well....sorry neil I am prettier for the camara :D he must have tacken 70 photos of us and our gear I can't wait to see how they get used!

It was one of the better sessions I have had, I got to share it with alot of great people Karl, Carol, Neil, Jackie, Mark, Justin, Justin Dad....and I am really stoked about just how much TPWD is getting behind carping in texas....

All fish were caught on a mixture of Rosehip Iso's and tiger nutts and fake mazie

one a side-note in the last photo you can see my swim....and a great restraunt and bar in the background....walking distance to cold beer and great food....amazing weekend....wish you were here....
