  1. They've also been to the northeast. Also, it isn't quite the beginning, mickeal koester of Korda has been visiting California for some time, as have many European anglers to Texas to chase big buffs with uscarppros Jason johennosen. Anglers the likes of Shawn Harrison! great that we're finally gaining respect for our carp fishing!

  2. While you've offered to shave your legs I havent the heart to not only change your sexuality but also your religion. :icon_smoking:

Lucky for you I have no religion....now spread em piggy =]

  3. Fair enough, I didn't mean for it to seem like an argument. Wasn't my intention at all. I've been the guy doubting fish in the past which is the only reason I even put In my 50 cents, as for the Scott doubters I had words with many on the topic only because he was my friend and the reason I chase big carp today. Also if anyone doubted my fish that's their right as you stated, and you bet your ass id argue it. But that's why I've ALWAYS been honest with my fish, even when not competing, like now if I were to enter my big four I'd be winning the western region but frankly all the cheaters have left a bad taste in my mouth ya know? It isn't worth it to me anymore. For a few crap prizes and some #### stroking. The only satisfaction I ever got was seeing guys cheating to try to beat Scott, others and myself that regularly placed on the top 3.

  4. How many state records are from carp anglers? Hardly any. It's always the guy you least expect to catch the fish we all chase, just last year a 42+ was caught by no exaggeration the creature from under the bridge. The most back woods homely hillbilly woman I've ever seen no more than 20 miles from my favorite and most productive big fish spot in the same river. Just because he wasn't ( is he?) a known 'carper' doesn't mean he lied, for all anyone knows Hea the most honest guy around. He holds the fish well which shows respect, the look on his face suggest excitement which tells me it may not have been an accidental catch. Who knows he could have a set of Reuben's to have weighed the fish on. None of us have the right to call bs on his fish. NONE of us. I for one do not doubt his fish. For no other reason than why should I? Jealousy? Unless someone shows proof it's not 40 I say we look at this for the positive publicity it is and nothing more.

  5. Just my two cents, it would be naive to call this fish anything but big, just the girth alone near the head tells me its more than possible, not to mention as jerome put, its length. I do not doubt this fish in the slightest. But i think the important thing here is the positive publicity this fish could bring your area.

  6. Yes I have Chris! I've made many of them for weed and snag fishing. Easy enough with a good masonry bit and two part epoxy, problem is unless they're smallish and very dense its hard to get the weight and the surface area right to hold method.

  7. I actually have been thinking about making a mould at work in my spare time. As most of you know I moonlight as a machinist. We Have a machineable ceramic that's super high temp that would work lovely, I can also use steel just harder to machine. I've been writing a cnc program in my spare time.

  8. Thanks for the tip! I‘ve used popups or earplugs at night before to keep my rig out of trouble due to reversing currents but haven‘t tried my glow corn yet.

Keep in mind I am not using the glow maize to keep my rig out of trouble it simply isn't bouyant enough. For that I'll use method, pack bait, or pva bags, and pva nuggets over the hook and hair. The glow effect is simply to allow the fish to hone in on the hook bait that much better.
