Thanks for your submissions Captain and very nice to see some pics from the Georgia, Florida border and the origin of the Apalachicola River!
-
That sure is a pretty fish. Best recent example I've seen of a linear.
It's good to have you back on the forum, Brid!
-
Very cool looking hat!
The CAG patches are iron on but I am also curious as to whether you also threw a few stitches in there?
-
Looks like a challenging bank to fish on.
Must be a good producing, "secret spot"

Nice set up and cool locale! What kind of reels are those?
The pics are great. You might consider entering some into the this month's contest.

Way cool! The most unique picture so far!

Super photos Josh!

Wow! You have submitted some great pictures Frank, 35 and counting! Some of these are really beautiful and amazing, and some familiar.
What I am hoping, is that other members who haven't yet sent in pictures, would also contribute. Pictures can be sent in for this contest till the 26th of March.
It would be great to see more pictures of swims from around the country and in other locals, like maybe Europe.
Many areas we fish are also urban and photos containing city and townscapes would be cool!

Many great photos have been submitted but only by just a few of you.
FYI, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes go to three different contestants.
Keep those pics coming!

Fantastic Videos!
What actually goes on underwater is lost to us without footage like this!
Thanks for sharing.

Here is wishing you plenty of luck!!
I really look forward to fishing our harbors this year....

Dan--In view of all the wonderful photos that have been submitted, in retrospect, the contest may have been a bit more manageable and the participants more active (rather than sifting through past photos) had you limited the contest to photos taken only in March 2012, had you limited the contest to photos that contain carp gear, carp anglers, or actual fish, and had you limited the contest to a finite number of photos per angler. However second guessing is easy, so I must say that I appreciate the idea and the opportunity. Here are photos of a few of my winter swims. More swims by season coming later.--Frank
Hind sight is...how true. :lol:This contest will probably generate more pics than the beautiful carp contest!
At first it's like "wow, so many pictures" and then it's like "man, are these some beeeeautiful pictures"!
No problem... just come back and vote beginning on the 27th!!

Good to see you too Frank.
Too bad about the barge. Those fish wouldn't have stood a chance!
-
Do these pics have to be from this month or anytime? Just making sure
Good question Chris!
Pictures can be from any month.
As it is, we are still in winter which may make it difficult to get great pictures!

Thanks for all your entries and votes!
The “Best Swim Picture” took first place closely followed by “Most Unique Swim Picture”. There was a tie for third place between, “Best Short Story”, “Scariest Swim Picture” and “Fat Carp Pictures (Fat Girls).
Really neat choices were made and we shall keep this list as a reference for future contests!
As for now, this month’s new contest can be found here: http://www.carpangle...l=&fromsearch=1

This month’s new contest will be for “The Best Swim Picture”.
This is a purely a subjective contest, not necessarily based on it being the best producing swim but the best picture of a swim. This is an exciting topic as we get to see many of your favorite swims from around the country and world!
For the next three weeks members can submit pictures with a short description of their “Best Swim Picture”. Multiple pictures are welcome. The picture would ideally have some fishing gear in it, but not required.
Entries will be accepted till March 28th 11AM. Voting will begin March 28th and end on Sunday April 1st at midnight CST, top three finishers, decided by member’s votes, will each get a CAG iron on patch, a CAG fish tape measure, and a CAG mouse pad. First place finisher will also receive an available CAG shirt of their choice!
As a bonus, good pictures can also make a cool computer desk top or may be used in this year’s CAG publication.
Let the games begin!!!

It is a tight race with the Best Swim Pictures ahead by only one vote!
There is still time to vote!

WOW!! WTG!
I'm not surprised it was Bogdon Bucur!!

Our next contest will be of your choosing, vote for as many topics as you'd like!

Nice to have one of your videos to wake up too and of course the cup of coffee .
I too favor a powerpro hooklink 20#. As usual the power pro is chosen for it's size not necessarily it's breaking strength, and I might add that 20# powerpro breaks at much less than 20#.
What pound powerpro do you use on the hook link?

Interesting style, not usual to see baitcasters on the European style rods. Although the long cast contests use a type of baitcaster:
...and I suppose there is no issue with line twist.
