Still looking for someone, Maybe You , to take my bets... Cag is the winner.... You can stirr it or you can step up to the plate.... You sure can not fish...lol...lol... but you put on a Hell of an event and the kindest guy I've met out of NC..You've been " Eurofried". angling terminal...sorry to say.. tartyness over results.Tom,
Still got a place for you,,,,,,want to come down and show the LONG RODS how to do it
Even give you a Bucket filled with ATC GOODIES
Ya know TOM,
I don't think you'd be happy if you weren't stirring the pot kid.jpg stirring up the CHIT somewhere
PS. since not a single CAG member from Texas came the the CAGI in NC I can not possibly attend where one isnt welcomed.

My first fish was 32 something.. Then the action started. 19 fish that day. Thats the thing about Packbait. It makes the swim get better while the Euro methods make it get worse.

Brid... Irish, Scotish, British, whats the difference?? a few hundred miles??? btw it takes two to make a bet and I have yet to recieve a call on my wagers... and I think Brid should give odds since there is no real competition at the event this year. Well there are a few but the field is weak and this is your best chance yet..lol... can't I piss anyone off??lol lol...
-
Tom - I've had a second too -- on my first attempt, and we'll try to keep it all good for the Irish!
Not even the luck of the Irish can help you Brid. How many times have you fished this event??? Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then..lol...lol... Keep a stiff upper lip m8. all in good fun.

You should know the best way to get a Brit, which knows all there is to know about everything including but not limited to carp angling, is by taking his money.... You can't play if you don't pay. lol...Tom, you have a wealth of knowledge and you should be giving us poor under dog brits some of your talented pac bait recipes so we can catch thes huge, erh what do they call them, ah yes carp

Thanks.Fresh is always better but who has the time to boil up particles and corn before every trip?
I will be fishing around 3-4 times a week in about a month, thats alot of time just preparing right before the trip, I may make some fresh on the bank but thats about it. Plus your bait will be still hot when you get to the water. I already almost burned my hand when spombing "fresh bait"

Well, you could do some search and make a decent paylake bait but being a Brit, you'd screw it up adding the kitchen sink... lol.... Ya'll are easy money, you beat yourself..lol...lol...Oh no.............BRID the gauntlet has been thrown lad????????????
What on earth will the brits do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no no no I cant blank again can I
ps... this does not include all the Euro wannabees that slip good Southern Paylake Pack bait into the event but hide their buckets when encountered. lol lol.. Packbait will even cause the worst Euro/Brit to catch, ifn he doesnt screw up the mix... The sad part is that they know it but still refrain. ronflmao

I'll make a bet that no Brit, including you Brid, win this event. $50.00 payable to CAG... I'll take a $100.00 bet that Brid doesnt finish in the top three.... Payable to CAG..Dang -- we've had some great 'trash talking' over the years -- but this is very quiet !!!! All said and done, I'll make an educated guess that probably 4 pegs will win this show! Anyone making bets?

Glad you asked Tom.
Right now i'm getting my "particles" ready for at least 10-12 trips. I soaked pigeon feed, tiger nuts, hemp seed, and cracked corn for 24 hours. I was cooking this and ended up burning my batch. I mixed it well but this pigeon feed glued itself to the bottom. After I was done with this, I was going to put a certain amount in each bag and freeze them. So when I was ready to go carpin, I would grab a bag of this, add some fresh corn and pellets, and I would be on my way.
This mix is not for weather under 50 degrees, this is for weather temps in late april, early may.
I recognize your going to (( freeze )) your mix, my question is, would it not be better FRESH?? Or, does it matter?
Thanks for your kind response.

What a great event. Possibly the best event I have ever attended. Having attended and placed 2'nd the first and only time there, I can say with all honesty that the bait , not the location, will win this event. great event, great guys, and great fish.
ps. The brits will think too much and the USA guys will catch the fish..KISS...

Possibly fate gave you a break. Might you share your expetcations of pigeon food/feed? What you might do with it, what you might mix it with, why it would be of value, and how this would be of value in water temps below 50 deg??
Kindest Regards

Ya'll failed to be specific as to what bait works best in spring, summer, fall,or winter conditions. Or does it even matter?? This is where the men leave the boys on the portch. Hauling year round isnt hard if you know your angling, rivers especially. Rivers are much easier than ponds/lakes year round. jmho

Is this guy from Ohio? Nice outfit too. Just think what he'll be doing when he learns of the hair rig and big fish HNV boilies. lol.
-
Must be a new Euro thing. Ya know, everyone just has to be doing it.

Frank.
Ya'll got BALL'S.

Just think, if it wern't for global warming the ice would be 10' thick.

Ya'll are much too deep for me. I'd love to spend a day on the bank between Iain and Mark. I probably wouldn't understand much but listening to them I could at least, for a while, feel smart as they netted my fish. lol

I would only add that a true paylaker must start his journey at walmart,or if you have any catfish rods laying around with a loud clicker your set. You must always talk about how great the puffs are and how you dont need a hair. The classic barrel sinkers are awesome for running rigs. Also the catfish river rigs are already tied up for yea. If you want you could even go to the sewing section and get yourself a bead. Get the bead and put it on the hook and use that so you dont have to bait up everytime. Also did I mention puffs yet? Oh yea they are the best,. Put them on the hook and pull 50lbers right across the surface. People look at me in shock by how many carp I get......
I see you read my book. lol.

Carp might not be able to feel pain but they sure enough know when they have been mastered. You kill the first run and bring the carp to the top and he is yours. You let him run and he will not stop. Is it pain or something other I don't know but its the way it is. The Euro guys Piss themselves when watching how I haul a carp to the top and into the net but it works every time.
-
I would only add that a true specimen hunter must start as a tackl tart, having the very best gear available. This is because when taking the picture of the monster carp one must also be able to display his gear in the picture. Then the monster carp hunter must also know the proper way to hold the carp along with the proper pose. This is most important because if an angler doesnt know how to hold the carp and pose properly, his whole episode will be written off as a misstaken catch that has no merit.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Tom.
ps. The huge carp must also have been taken on the boilie and hair or it will not count. The HNV boilie will get you the points you need to be recognized.

Mr Worm. Thanks for the heads up on Spillmans, do you know it they allow side hooked plastics or PVA
