Guys, for all you real Tackle Tarts out there, that Rod (Dean's Rod) is a Custom ACS series I - 12ft, 3.25Ib Tc Harrison Blank, Fuji SIC's, Century stainless reel seat, Carbon butt grip and stainless butt cap lovingly assembled/built by Nick Buss in the U.K.
Stainless Reel Seat will set you back a cool £45 as part of an Extreme ACS Custom Rod Order.
or... at an exchange rate of £1 = $1.80 it'd be $81
Once the Custom rod order is finalized, ACS members get their 10% discount.
Sure does look sweet don't it!!!
Cheers,
Wayne
ps We'll have all options on full view on the web site very soon along with the excellent "Made In America" Carp Rods and a full range of tackle... Have got a load of additional "stuff" in the pipe line, stay tuned, all very exciting...

Brian,
I have tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks mate!! You absolutely have to publish that account of your 1st boat trip... A great read, absolutely brilliant on both counts:- safety warning and humor!!!
Sean and myself will have our boat out for the first time in early March without Captain Morgan around to supervise. Thanks for the heads-up! ;-))

Thanks Dean,
I'm surely tempted, is night fishing allowed on Canyon?
February and March are pretty sewn up for me, would it be too late in late April or early May?

Yes,
the weather is gorgeous here in So. Cal too! Mid 70's all week... I'm Jonesing to get out for a few days but just have too much to do at the moment...
Hopefully next week sometime...
Thanks Brian, I wrote Canyon down this time.
Dean, how far is this lake from your place? Is the deeper water accessible from shore, especially in summer?
Hope you continue to pull those bigguns out mate!!!!
Cheers,
Wayne

Hello Dean,
congrats!!! Nice looking fish... Ain't it a great feeling when you pull one in on one of your own homemade baits.
Do you know if there are there any Buffalo in Canyon Lake? I remember Brian saying that there was a lake near Pheonix with Buffs in, can't remember if its name was Canyon or not...

Brian and Leonard,
Wow! How did the Buffs bite? Were they screamers or none committal twitches?
Sounds like another great boilie roll from Bill... Congrats!!

Forgot to add that my first two Carp of the year went 7LB 4oz and 10LB on very rare frosty So. Cal Night. So cold, the net froze to the mat... amazing for down here at or near sea level.
Lets hope we all haul in 2004!!! Happy New Year to you all...

Wayne

Brian,

Hi Pat,
Great looking fish, good to see you again last week.
Here is one that is probably my favourite fish I've caught of all time!! Its the one that kicked this whole Carp fishing obsession off again here in the States for me... Caught from a little picturesque pond in Malibu Creek State Park, California while fishing with Sean.
Plan on fishing it some this year, an "appa dabble" ;-)) from here is truely be an accomplishment worth shooting for as they're very "shy and wary." You have to fish light to hook up and once you're in they fight like crazy!!! Never felt anything like it for the size.
Anyways, enough waffling from me. Wish you all a fantastic 2004 season.
Cheers,
Wayne
