  1. Well for spring break Brendan and I made a trip down to Tennessee to fish the famous Dale Hollow Lake! I will keep this just a short summary of the trip as I will have a write up on Big Carp News about the trip.
We arrived at the spot Sunday evening and set up on a spot called the point, we would be staying til Saturday morning. There were a few anglers to our left and we stopped down and talked to them before setting up. Their names were Douglas Reed and Marco Koning, they were both some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of sharing the bank with! Even though we had our own food they insisted on cooking breakfast and dinner for us for the week and man was it good! We had a lot of fun joking around and sharing stories over the week, including watching them bank some incredible fish!
The fishing started out kind of slow but we did start to catch from the first night! Over the course of the 6 days that we were there Brendan and I hooked around 40 fish but only landed 25 because we were fishing snags and lost many due to the snags, including a few big fish. We both broke our personal best mirrors by quite a bit! Brendans new PB mirror is at 25lb even which beats his old one by 4lbs! My new PB mirror is now 32lb 8oz which beats my old one by 16lbs! Overall we had an absolute blast on this beautiful lake!
    Kind of picture heavy!

  2. On this topic I thought it would be cool to post all the recaptures of a Two-Tone from here Michigan. This fish has been caught a total of 9 known times now! It's lives in a fairly decent sized pond which surprised me that she gets caught as much as he does. The first capture of her was by an old CAG member Alex in 2008 when this water was a very hard water to fish with a low population of fish, but now the pond has a high population of fish and is significantly easier to catch out of. She seems to have lost some weight due to the population increase, close to 7lbs of weight loss in 6 years. Four of the times it was caught was by a fly angler who frequents the pond and sees her often. We have been here 3 times and had it 3 times!

Here she is the 9 times she has been caught with weights and dates if capture, it starts off at 29lb and ends at 22lb 14oz

  4. Release pic is awesome. Austin how big was the 2 tone last time you caught it

Thanks guys! We didn't weigh the two tone last year unfortuantly as we forgot our scale. Although Somone else who caught her weighed her in at 23lb last year 5 days before Brian and I caught it. It used to weigh 29lb a long time ago.
