Nice video and fish Brian! That is absolutely crazy that it went and fed right there after putting here back, never heard of anything like that happening!

I think this would be pretty cool, Id be up for it! Im friends with a few of our carp fly anglers in the state and they do a fly swap as well.

Got down fishing yesterday with Brian, Robbie, and my buddy Darin and the fishing was on! I got rods out by a little after 5:30 AM and after an hour and a half the first fish was landed. As the day went on it was hard for me to keeps rods in the water, I ended the day with around 40 fish! I went through 5 gallons of method throughout the day. I had 30 fish over 20lbs up to 24lb, also had 4 19lb+, and loads of other mid-teens. I was surprised not to see anything real big to come out with everyone down there, but i know we will see a few more bigguns as the year goes on. These fish have defiantly been packing on weight for the fall!

In the spirit of discovery month Brendan tried the pond right next to the pond we were fishing and he had this nice fish along with a couple more.
Also here is one of Robbies fish ( Since he never posts on here lol), this is the only pick I got of him but he had a few more fish a bit bigger than this.

Yeah Paul marshabank is insanely deep lol, If you fish there I should have mentioned to fish off the side of the docks in about 5 to 10 ft of water. If you cast in front of you off the pier your immediatly in 30+ ft and you will blank the whole day.

Hey chip, if you want a lot of action marshabank metro park on cass lake has loads of fish. I fished there this summer off of the pier and hooked a little under 30 fish over the session, biggest was a little over 17lb. There is potential in cAss for bigger fish though.
As Brendan said we fished dodge bros and it wasn't great.

If you want a great not for connecting the two lines look up the Albright knot. It's easy to tie, the knots small enough to not hinder your casting distance at all, and it's very strong.

Truly amazing fish, and terrific fishing skills locating this pond and catching those extraordinary kois.
Thank you Jerome! Im looking forward to seeing how much these fish grow each year, they are still relatively young as this pond was only built within the last 17 or 18 years, and who knows when these got stocked. Still got to catch the last one in there, no more chances this year as they have become impossible to target this time of year. Hopefully in the spring we catch that last one.

Absolutely insane triple crown Brian, will you be down in Texas this February?
I think this is my only triple crown ever, it was only a couple days ago too lol. If i find another i will post it, but until then here is mine with a 30lb common, a small mirror, and a small buff.

I was use to reading you always say day offs from school and vacations. Now I see before I go to work lol grown up now. Still a great fish congrats on another great session
Thanks Christian! This is the only venue we have that produces buffs in any sot of numbers, other than that we usually never see buffs caught.

Haha happy to hear! Im sure some of the other guys would love to see some of the big girls you've had from there this year, and ya i had a good time sharing the bank with ya as always!
Im sure we've got a couple more good days, hopefully. I will let you know whenever i plan on fishing down there.
