1. I have one but without the front, I ended up buying the outer shell! All in all a great bivvy that goes up and comes down in a few easy steps! Too bad you didn't post this a few months back :( , I would have saved a few bucks.

  2. Pressure from the line. Fish without a hook. When the fish takes the bait, it will react against the pressure of the line until it releases the bait.

If fish felt pain from the hook, we wouldn't catch any fish that has been hooked once. My cousin caught one bluegill out of a small hole at the bottom of a spillway five times. Either the fish didn't feel pain or it was really dumb! :bonk:

I belive there was another study on this but can't recall the details. Senior moment?

We all read about the many cases of food poisoning and the harmful chemicals from eating certain foods! Smoking is another classic example! Signs on the packet warn of death and disease! Doesn't our so called large brain warn us to stay away from such things? Yet we still let temptation fool us and ignore such warnings! In nature feeding is priority , it is imprinted in our system, this need overrides all other impulses or previous bad experiences and forces the fish to feed . Fish that have been hooked know very well the danger but the need to feed takes precedent! Carp have rubbery mouths filled with sensors helping them find food! These sensors are filled with nerves that do feel pain! I am no expert in this subject & this is only my opinion which I am entitled to!

  3. As much as I love fishing and want to think that fish feel no pain when hooked, I don't agree with this article. It claims that fish react to being caught as a reaction to threat! What threat? Its the fish trying to dislodge itself from the painful hook! Furthermore, if fish felt no pain and couldn't remember there would be no need to come up with the various rigs to trick them to feed again on our baits. Fish do have brains which is the center for processing pain through nerves which are present in fish mouth. This is just my opinion. We can argue over this subject for years and years and never come to an agreement. We will only know the truth when humans learn to speak fish and then the different versions of the language such as Carp, Shark, Eel, Bass and so on! :icon_smoking:

Next time you come up to the second spot, fish right behind where you fished guys.
with sweet corn. You will have a blast.  By the way my photo is a small mirror from there.

Thanks for the tip C D, an English fellow who was there also advised us to fish the opposite side with sweet corn, he was telling us that when the fish were there its awesome. Jamie was fishing that same side further down but was using pellets & boilies, no takers though. Hope fully this summer we'll try again, just hope it would be less windy as the day we were fishing.

  5. great team makes me smile everytime i see a father and his child or children fishing
