  1. I was lucky enough to see a great angler catch an awesome! Thanks buddy you have taught me tons and have infected us with the float fishing style with the center pin. Let the good times begin!

  2. Really feel bad for freddy, was hoping to get some video footage of him and load on to you tube. sorry to hear about your unsuccesful day. hopefully you'll catch plenty 2morow!

  3. I once read in a magazine that pineapple flavoured baits don't attract bullheads, something about the taste or smell that doesn't appeal to them. You might want to try it this year and see the results.

  4. Another question for you to think about! What bait flavour has worked best for you? has it been the fishy flavoured or the fruity flavoured baits. I started my carp fishing in Hungary and there in summer the fishy & spicy baits worked best however in winter the fruity and sweet bait is by far a better choice. This said, fishy and oily baits in the summer and in winter baits spiked with alcohol. In canada I have noticed that both bait works well and have caught the same amount of fish on both types of bait.

  5. Awesome, great reply from great anglers! I wish we could fish 2 rods in Canada, its these questions that would be answered, using identical gear but one baited with corn & the other with boilies. My personal experience in Long Sault was boilies produced bigger fish! This year i will be out there stalking my carp on a quiver tip rod and going light weight in terms of line, hooks and weights. I have some theories about Canadian carp which I need to research and answer.

Shawn we're on! I'll see all of you soon on the banks, just hope the weather doesn't pull a quick one on me!

  6. Its not clear from what you've written but if your in Ontario you will find tons of venues where you can catch carp. There are a few dedicated carp anglers in the Hamilton area who will be glad to answer any of your questions including myself. You are coming to the right place for Carp, tough, solid wild fish that have probably never been hooked before and don't have names like fish in Europe! The tackle you will use will be silightly different as well, forget about mono and small hooks, you need to use braided line if you waant to see what you've hooked! Good luck.

  7. Hi there! My name is Arvand and i've been carp fishing for the past 10 years. I live in Burlington and target all the waters in the area looking for potential venues!
