WB&T has gotten a load of new stock in recently. We now have some real carp rods at a price to compete with Cabeles' Predator, some entry-level whips and poles, a nicely priced alarm/receiver set and many new bags of various sorts (bait, pod, lead, rig, etc.)

I am thrilled to be fishing it for a change.
Also, looking forward to offering beer (or other beverages) & BBQ to all on Friday evening.

Great fish, Maciek. Bring an 8x10 into the store and we will get it up on the wall.
-
Nice fish, Magda, you really have that place figured out. And no encounters with deer?

I have aquired a few good quality match reels, previously owned and sold without boxes or papers, but in mint/unused condition.
Shimano Symetre 4000FI
Shimano Stradic 5000FG
Shimano Stradic 4000FH
Shimano Super X 3000 GTM
Mitchell 300X
These are all listed on the web site under "Special Deals" and under "Pole/Match Fishing - Match Reels"
Very good prices on these but if you think they are too high, make an offer.

I have marked down a bunch of very nice quality fly rods and reels. St. Croix Avid and Premier Series 9' 8 wt rods, St. Croix reel, Corland complete outfit. All are marked down 20% - all are one-of-a-kind so act fast.

WB&T just received a shipment of alarms from Flajzar - these are great alarms with a 3 year warrenty. We received some of the very reasonably priced basic alarms that already proved to be very popular and also some new ones.
The new DAX alarms have all features of a top alarm - volume, tone and sensitivity controls, run/dropback differentiation, night light, output for illuminated swinger/extension box and also let you record your own sounds. Has a built-in microphone, just push the button and hold it up to the source. It also comes with a CD loaded with sounds and a cable to connect to external sound sources. This is slicker than deer guts on a door knob.

That is Soldier Field in the background, fishing on Northerly Island.
-
Have barbel rods, feeder rods and pike/carp rods.
-
Have Shimano Aero GTEs - 5000, 6000 and 8000.

Dang, if I know the town of Hominey had a Sonic I would have been out there years ago
That must mean you have never eaten at a Sonics. Think of the most obvious anagram for "carp," that's the food at Sonics.
On the plus side, I did run into at great bbq joint on the way home from Hominy last year - had a deep fried bologna special. Hard to beat that.

yes i caught some other fish went out and fished a reef one day heres a pretty fish , not big but certainly colorful
What did you do? Cut up 4 fish and glue the pieces together? Cruel.

hi,
we used home made boilies (with boilie booster inside filled with flavor)
it worked great!!!!!!!!
The "Boilie Booster" is a cool little product that Ernest has come up with. It is a kit containing small capsules and a hypodermic syringe. One drills out a boilie, inserts the capsule and injects it full of a flavoring or attractant. The capsule disolves in the water, releasing the contents.
When I first saw the product, I thought "possession of drug paraphenalia" because of the syringe. I called the police for clarification on the law and they explained that it was all a matter of intent. It is perfectly legal to have a syringe as long as you are using it for fishing or injecting marinade into turkeys. Just avoid the combination of syringe plus small. foil-wrapped packets of white powder.

WB&T has a few flies that are effective on carp.

WB&T takes PayPal. Sent it to paul@wackerbaits.com.

Ak
It doesn't count...it was foul hooked...
Within an inch of the mouth is a good hook. So on that fish, foul hooking is virtually impossible.

Bit of a drive for you but I think Lake Michigan is a better bet. There is always the chance on a forty or bigger (they are there) plus you get a fair number of twenties and an occassional thirty while you are waiting. About half my fish from Lake Michigna this year have been >20. I am not saying that iller Park isn't an attractive venue, if it were in my neighborhood, I would be out there pretty often, too.

I know for short bursts, they can top 15mph easy.
That sounds almost like a Phone Phact, Scott.
If you throw out a statement like that, you better be able to provide some sort of documentation.

Tal & Oz. Kinda makes you think that skill IS a factor.

The 57 lb buffalo now living at Cabelas was caught by Ladislav Vaskor, a good buddy of mine and NOT a Romanian.
I called him, he was very out of breath and said he would call back in 5 minutes. It was more like 5 hours before I heard back from him and he was still out of breath and pretty happy about the whole deal.

WB&T has recently started offering some very nice European Flajzar alarms. Unbeatable price and a 3 YEAR warrenty.
