I gotta admit, all the really good guys are with ACS. They not only buy from me but they don't even bug me for wholesale pricing (although they probably should).
Wayne was wering a WB&T shirt, too. I should take a lesson from those guys.

I have listed a bunch of new items in the "Special Deals, Bargains" section.
Quite a few new items in the last couple of weeks, too.

A bit of D.A.M. carp gear is now avaialble in the USA. This is top quality stuff and the prices aren't bad. Take a look at the new products section for details. Quantities ae VERY limited.

WB&T now has a section devoted to fly fishing for carp. We have a selection of flies that are know to be attractive to carp. We can put together outfits suited for big carp fishing. Cortland rod & reel for a good entry level, Okuma reel plus St. Croix Premier Rod for a great quality set at a modest price and St. Croix Avid Series Rod plus St. Croix Legand Large Arbor Disk Drive for a top-of-the-line setup.

Who's pocket do I have to line with green in order to make sure I get a peg that's within 20 ft of my vehicle?
MINE!

I was born and raised a few miles south of you, on the Red River in Fargo-Moorhead. Didn't fish the river when I lived there but I did get my dad into carp fishing. He lives on the river and gets a few carp just about every day, weather permitting. Of course, in that part of the country, the weather doesn't permit very often. No lumps in the Fargo-Moorhead stretch of the river, he is lucky to break 10lbs.

what else does Chicago have going for them lol.
WB&T.
Eat your heart out, rest of world.

it was a fish that swam up from Missouri
And why wouldn't it?

Dale Bowman reports in the Chicago Sun TImes that a 124lb blue cat was caught in the Mississippi RIver near Alton, Illinois. It is a new state record and it dwarfs that puny Texas fish that did hold the world record.

It is a Wood Frog, Rana sylvatica. The key characteristic is the "robber mask" around the eyes. The species shows extreme color variation, from pink through various shades of brown to near black.

What do you need? A quality disc drag reel with 100 yards+ of 20 lb backing, 6-8 wt rod with good backbone, a good slick floating line, 9-12 foot leaders in 2x tippet and a selection of Platte River Fly Shop carp flies. We can supply an outfit for you if you are new to the game.

you might be in with a good chance of the million dollars Paul, fishing with tal!!!!, although he does seem to have lost his mojo, who knows maybe be back.
Lost his mojo? Please don't say things like that.
I would like to see him catch a bunch of 40s in Texas in the next couple of weeks, then take a slow drive from Texas to NY - thinking intensly (and that is what he does) about carp fishing every inch of the way.

ACS is first rate at fulfillment. The lovely trophy is shown below, the cash is spent with nothing to show for it and the entry into the World Cup is looking more valuable every day. I am still not a fan of competitive fishing but one has to admire the job Sean, Wayne and David are doing.
-
So you really are selling all your gear and quitting fishing? A new baby plus rolling bait.... We will never see you again <g>.
Rock 'n' roll, dude.

Stewart, Your fish has some goldfish in it which makes the lateral line more distinct.
Is this fact or opinion, Pat? And how can you tell it is mix?
I, of course, generally regard your opinions as fact but just want clarification on this point.

The only bait deal Scott has gotten from WB&T is a free pound of my boilies for ATC. The only reason he got those is because he was promised a kilo of Mainline but they were inadvertantly given to someone else. I was afraid he would beat the crap out of me so I gave him the freebies. Not because we are friends, god forbid.

If you go to www.ups.com and hit the "time & cost" link, you can get transit times for the various classes of shipping. You will need the ACS zip code as well as your own.
That is only half the answer, of course. You also need to know when they will ship it and only ACS can answer that.
-
As you should have surmised, I have the data.
-
WB&T is now offering a base mix as well as six different amino acids that are proven to stimulate feeding in carp.
-
WB&T has received a few new items, including several shelters and a new book, The Fox Guide to Carp Rigs.
