thanks...grampa
Oh, now the gloves are coming off. I trust that you have noticed that my fishing partners are always 20-30 years younger than I? They are the ones who can keep up with me.

I think it was the anglers and your runner that got you the win
I think I have three words for you now, Rod.
As for me being bitter, nothing could make me happier than your 96-1. Especially in light of Tommy & Al's 96-5. I am actually a little proud of you - you did much better than I expected.
-
My congratulations to Earnest Kolodziejczyk and Maciek Plesiewicz - overall winners, big fish winners (by 2 oz, sorry Riley) and $250 early entry winners. Not a bad week. I am sure much credit goes to Magdalena - Team Coach/Manager . These guys are really top notch anglers and work hard at it. A well deserved victory.
Also nice to see second and third place go to Chicago anglers.
Rod Mills - one word for you - "karma".

Are those the final results show on the leader board? ie 331-6 for first place, 210-4 for second, etc?

WB&T has a bit of fly fishing stuff on closeout. Pretty good prices listed but if you want to make an offer, feel free.
-
Most of the entrants are Polish or Czech and they all shop at WB&T for their bait & bait ingredients.

I prebaiting at the Chicago River during my lunch hour in Febuary for 5 days in a row then I caught good number of carp on Saturday!
Do you mind if I ask where on the Chicago River? I always thought the stretch from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. was rather dead in the winter. I used to get loads of fish near the Lake Street bridge in the winter but that spot is no longer accessible.

I have caught many carp in 35F water. The were not feeding, perhaps, but they were biting.
-
Lots of the Fox bits & pieces.
Seat boxes, footplates, trolleys, arms & trays.
Pole floats.
Fox luggage.
Warrior Elite and Warrior ES rods.
Renagade Barrow (will carry everything you own)
Trackta Barrow.
-
No such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.
Granted, Chicago is a bit south of Minnesota, but I have caught carp around here for 93 consecutive months.
-
And from Wacker Bait & Tackle, 3x Okuma Carp Rods.

Fox International will once again sponsor the "CAG Classic Carper" trophy to be presented to the angler with the greatest total weight of carp.
In addition to the trophy, they are donating a pair of Stratos Reels (retail $400), a Stalker Pod (retail $120), an Evolution Specialist Rig & Bait Carryall (retail $86).
A box of Fox DVDs and books is also on its way but I do not know exactly what we will be getting.

Tim- I have Drennan Carp Antennae in various sizes but no Target Carp Floats.
-
I will be there and may bring a few items with me to sell or demonstrate. If there is anything anyone wants to see (that West Side does not stock), let me know and I will toss it in the van.

Sounds very cool. Not only from the fishing standpoint, but from the educational stand point as well. I suppose you have to dig into your bag of tricks, but due to the time constraint you can't dig too deeply. Are any here in N. America, or only Europe?
Lots of match anglers and matches in the Chicago area.

We have had a "Wall of Fame" (has grown to several walls, actually) in the WB&T store for several years. Now we also have an on-line one.
Got any big fish photos you would like to share, send them to info@wackerbaits.com.
View the photos at WB&T.
Include as much or as little detail as you want.

Forget about boilies until you get everything else working the way you want it. Use sweet corn (Pescaviva flavored sweet corn is a favorite) or cooked feed corn. I don't know anything about that brand of line but I use hi-vis gold Stren Super Braid most of the time and catch a fair number of fish.

There are not a lot of carp in Lake Superior, especially not on the northern flats. The water is cold and the shoreline is sterile - lacking in food.

See the at the manufacurers web site
Buy them at WB&T.
Street legal (FCC certified), parts and service available in the USA and a very nice item. Holds 1.2 liters of bait but it is compact enough that you will actually use it.

We are very pleased to be able to offer the most incredible floats to the North American market. We have in stock the Cralusso Torpedo, Torpedo Tuning, Bubble and Surf floats.
Check out the video to see the amazing Surf in action.

WB&T has some 8wt rods (and some other bits and pieces of fly gear) heavily discounted. Make an offer.

Leaving early is one of the worst things I have ever done. I apologize to Jackie and Neil and to all my other friends at the event. If it had not been urgent, we would have stayed.
