  2. Carp Fishing Secrets is a PDF download of over 100,000 words (270 pages), along with a whole bunch of photos and illustrations to show you EXACTLY what you need to be doing to catch more carp. Even if you've never fished for these powerful fish before, you'll be able to catch them after reading this e-book. Take a look at the contents listing below and you'll see what we mean. The contents, structure and quality of the articles contained are as good, probably better, than anything you'll find in the world. Coming from seasoned UK Carp Anglers, this book is based on experience, not waffle - it's written by men who've been carp fishing for most of their lives.

  3. When does he not swear? :D Congrats Skip!

You should hear him talk to his wife. He is the sweetest, kindest, most loving guy I have ever heard. Worlds away from his usual %$#@% self.

  4. The day started out great but in early afternoon and fairly strong rain (with lightning) blew through. It only lasted a few minutes and the weather was once again great.

  5. These are unofficial and subject to correction.

76 anglers, 7 fish caught. Winner was Skip Orenstein who had two fish (10 and 15 lbs). Skip is a Chicago area guy who has been carping for years and has done well in prevuous Classics, a top angler who earned his victory. According to his frequent fishing partner, Paul Wells, Fu-Sang Mulberry was the secret to his success.

Big fish was around 17lbs, sorry but I do not have the name of the angler.

  6. Several people were fishing the venue yesterday and a couple of them did quite well. Perhaps 20 or more fish were caught in the area near the old terminal building, the largest was 22 lbs taken by Michael Brada. A couple of people were fishing near the mouth of the harbor - about 10 fish taken the largest 26-14.

  7. Just a reminder about the maize boil Friday of the CCC weekend. We will have great bbq, good beer and will be cooking maize for any anglers unable to bring their own.

I am a little short on buckets this year. I would appreciate it if anyone could bring a few - 3-5gal preferably with lids.

  8. Paul,

that looks as if we will need to wait for the fog to lift.... :D

Put your cursor over the map, a little box should appear "Expand to Regular Size" or something like that. Click on the box and the fog lifts.

  9. WB&T just received some very nice white fish meal, top quality with a guaranteed minimum protein content of 75.5%. And this is digestible protein, not scales and skin as is found in the dark, fertilizer-grade fish meals.
