  1. Nice going Tom Bieback 48lbs 1oz , unbelievable catch.

No kidding, that's an amazing fish. 2 40lb mirrors in less than 8 days of contest.

Tom, I think you locked down biggest mirror! Then again I thought I did as well so maybe we ought to watch out for the 50!

Just wishing mcwrestler and Tom Bieback a huge congratulations on two beautiful Mirrors! Way to go guys!!

Unbelievable indeed. And... where is the story, Tom? Tell us more!

PS. I am so glad to see that the biggest carp mirror caught by a CAG member is now back in New England (I think?). After a certain Mexicano-Dutch individual stole it from me in a dubious manner...

Thanks guys. Stay tuned for a full story in the near future...

  2. Weather is looking good for Sunday , hopefully the carp are hungry after their winter slumber

For sure. I also wanted to let everyone know that some of the swims are very shallow near shore and you will need waders/boots to net fish. The pond looks great I baited yesterday and I will be baiting tomorrow and Saturday. I will be sticking to the baiting pyramid so the fish should be hungry by Sunday

  3. Okay guys sorry for the late post. We've decided on the location of the fish-in (still Hanover). Here is a Google Map of the location:

    https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=41.522234,-72.829045&spn=0.006482,0.009645&t=m&z=17&vpsrc=6&iwloc=A&q=Habershon+Field&cid=12713614117900356895

Also I made a quick mark up of the depth (white), parking (yellow), and swim locations (red).

Note: There won't be any pegs I just made the map to show where every one can fish (and where I will be prebaiting).

  4. CT CAG will be hosting a Spring Fish-in on April 7th at Hanover Pond in Meriden, CT. It will start at 8 am and go till 5pm. Anglers are welcome to come early or stay later. I'm not exactly sure on the exact location to hold the event on the pond so stay tuned to this post. I've never fished there but Hanover is an impoundment on the Quinnipiac River, which holds a good population of carp. Any questions please feel free to ask.

  5. Hello fellow carpers,

I am from north central connecticut i'm gonna be heading down to hershey tuesday. I'm looking to fish somewhere near the hershypark area. I've heard there are carp in swatara(sp?) creek. If anyone wants to fish with me that would be great. i will probably be able to fish wednesday or thursday 12 pm til dark or later. I'm bringing the basics pod, rods, net, basic tackle, basic hook baits and i'll bring some method mix too.

    Tom
