  1. Dan--In view of all the wonderful photos that have been submitted, in retrospect, the contest may have been a bit more manageable and the participants more active (rather than sifting through past photos) had you limited the contest to photos taken only in March 2012, had you limited the contest to photos that contain carp gear, carp anglers, or actual fish, and had you limited the contest to a finite number of photos per angler. However second guessing is easy, so I must say that I appreciate the idea and the opportunity. Here are photos of a few of my winter swims. More swims by season coming later.--Frank
  2. I received my shipment today as well. Thanks, Andy. These baits will soon be taking a ride to Austin.--Frank
  3. Don't know how I missed this thread . One of each flavor for me, Andy. Thanks.--Frank
  4. Andy--Great idea! Thanks, so much, for sending me a few extras. I'll send my donation soon. I greatly appreciate your partnership and leadership with this project.--Frank
  5. I received mine on 12/23/11 at 60490 and just now noticed an error. Please change the date of the last Monday in June to the 25th, not the 24th I proofread that calendar several times and still missed it. Sorry about that.--Frank
  6. Got it on 12/23/11 at 60490. Thanks, Andy, for your vision and leadership with this project!--Frank
  7. Just got mine today. I was very pleased with the quality printing Jimmy and the guys did at their shop. The nail hole was even in a good place that didn't detract from the pics and information. A corner of the calendar was bent a bit from the mailing process, but it isn't too badly damaged. Thanks, again, to all who submitted information. I believe that all who sent me photos and/or recipes had at least one included, and, in many instances, more than one was featured in a 2012 CAG calendar that had nearly 100 photographs. Thanks to all who had a part in the project. I hope you enjoy the calendar.--Frank
  8. Final proof for the calendar has been approved and our printer is ready to roll presses. I'm not sure how long the printing/mailing process takes, but I am hoping CAG members get their calendars around Christmas or, at least, before the beginning of 2012. Thanks, again, to those who had any part in the endeavor.--Frank
  9. The 2012 CAG calendar is ready for the printer. We no longer need any more photos, recipes, or additional submissions. Big thanks to those who submitted photos and/or baiting recipes. Your time, expertise, talents, and information relative to the design and development of the calendar are sincerely appreciated!--Frank
  10. Marius--The calendar is ready for the printer and the deadline has passed. However, I received your photos and was able to squeeze a few into the calendar. Thanks.--Frank
  11. I'm sure there will be some extras printed, Carl, but Andy can better answer that. By the way, I think I used most of the great photos you submitted, and many are "featured" photos for the cover and for many of the months. Thanks!--Frank
  12. The 2012 CAG calendar is reaching final stages and will be sent to the printer within the next few days. Big thanks to those who submitted photos and/or baiting recipes. Your time, expertise, talents, and information relative to the design and development of the calendar are sincerely appreciated!--Frank
  13. Point of clarification: I thank those who responded to the request for photos. However, an individual sending us a folder of 15-20 pictures requires some help from you. We, obviously, cannot use 15 pictures from one source as the calendar loses its representative nature. Consequently, I ask those sending multiple submissions to indicate the 4 or 5 pictures that you would most like to see in the calendar. Thanks, so much!--Frank p.s. We are still in need of photos. Preference is to use photos from many different anglers. If you send just one, that is great, and mulitple photos are also fine as long as you indicate which few you would most like to see included.
  14. Thanks, Willem. We shall see. We are a little over 3 weeks until printing deadline, so I may need some of those from your collection. --Frank
  15. Wish I had known that before I started begging for pics. Just make sure they are at least 300 dpi or big enough so a 72 dpi photo can be resized to at least 3 to 11 inches wide at 300 dpu. Thanks. Thanks to Carl for the series he just sent.
  16. How about sending some photos, Neil. I found one on the forum with you standing by a body of water for FFF, but I need more with some heftier dimensions (I'm speaking of the photos' dimensions ).--Frank
  17. Thanks to those who have submitted photos, but we are still way short on pictures for the calendar. I can practically guarantee that a picture submitted for the calendar will be used. Just make sure that its dimensions are as large as possible. More bait recipes are also welcome. Thanks.--Frank Send submissions to naca@carpanglersgroup.com
  18. Just a reminder that photos submitted with 300 dpi resolution will work best. If you prefer not to mess with changing the resolution, just send the pic with the largest width and length dimensions possible. Photos do not have to necessarily be huge pb's or record breakers. Seasonal photos (for month to month calendar pics) are also most welcome. Thanks so much!--Frank Send to naca@carpanglersgroup.com
  19. Congrats to Larry Kirchner for a well organized, enjoyable event. Larry essentially turned this derby around from a gaf and weigh kill event to a very carp friendly endeavor. Congrats to Mike O. who took ninth place money in the event. It was also gratifying to see several CAG associates helping Larry with the stewarding duties on one or both days of the derby: Paul Scott, Laura Scott, John Chione, Andrew Chione, Edward from Dixon, Larry Hemmens, Paul Pezalla, Robert Kraft, Frank Rink. Good work!--Frank

  21. Dixon, IL on Saturday - Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. North winds around 10 mph. Dixon, IL on Sunday - Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Derby details here!
  22. Wow! Great weather is forecast for this weekend's Dixon Carp Derby. Larry K. has provided a wonderful opportunity for a friendly competition and for teaching/promoting C&R carp fishing. I will be stewarding rather than fishing, but it will still be a fun experience. Come on out to northwestern Illinois!--Frank Click here for more details!

  24. If the team event won't be happening, I'll opt out of the family event and help whatever day Larry H. isn't there (to even out the steward pool). Since I'm there just one day, there is no need to include me in the steward raffles.--Frank
