  1. Chase credit card fraud from 2/22 to 2/23. Since I still don't have a new card, Chase has no historical information on my online access, so these are based on recollection. I have used the Chase card and/or Paypal at the following carp-related vendors: Leslies of Luton Johnson Ross Resistance Wacker Carp Kit International New World Carp CAG Big Carp Tackle World Classic Baits K-1 Baits CNY Carp Candy
  2. Hmmm . . interesting thread. I, too, use Paypal whenever I can but some carp related companies just don't offer it. The fraudulent charges on my card ranged from $1 at ebay to $50 to $100 at Fathead, NFL shop, Crocs, Body Works, and Dominoes Pizza. However, all were online, not in-person charges. It's becoming more and more obvious, though, that we were hit because of purchases made at a carp related site. I don't know how long our card data remain in a vendor's system, so it's tough to know where the problem lies.
  3. I just noticed yesterday that my Chase card was used over the weekend for $900+ in fraudulent charges. Fortunately, I caught it just 24-48 hours after the unauthorized purchases, so, other than the hassle of getting a new card, I'm OK. Does anyone know what website/vendor might have gotten compromised?
  4. Kudos and huge thanks to Canadian Carp Club, Magda and Ernest at World Classic Baits, and Matt at CNY Carp Candy for their generous prizes I received and quick, courteous service I experienced following some lucky catches I had at the 2013 FFF. Your support of CAG activities is most appreciated! --Frank Rink
  5. This is an organization of volunteers. If there was a CAG staff on payroll, and 17 days of data went missing or if deadlines for contests were extended, it might be a different story. But, these are volunteers who spend countless, dedicated, unpaid hours for the good of the organization. For that, I am grateful. Thank you, Willem and Jerome and many other volunteers who keep CAG running.--Frank
  6. It appears as if all posts made on the CAG forum from December 20 through January 5 are no longer on the forum. Will they be recovered and restored to the forum? It's no big deal (it's just carp fishing, after all), but I do feel badly for those who made the effort to submit information, stories, and photos for the past 17 days.
  7. Totally agree, Dan. Simon is a class act. We are blessed to have several top-notch tackle vendors in North America.--Frank
