  1. Frank Warwick's debut book "Every Bit of Blue" was recently launched in the UK to critical acclaim. I am delighted to announce that Frank & the publisher Angling Publications have made a SIGNED copy available to CAG for a member draw. If you are signed up as a fully paid member on March 31st 2015 you will automatically be entered into the draw. CAG is the only non-profit organization dedicated to the growth & development of carp fishing in North America so now is an even better reason to join us.
  2. This is truly a ground breaking moment for CAG. Hosting the NACA on this media platform will bring the CAG mission and North American carp angling to the attention of a much larger audience. A big thank-you to Dean (Editor in Chief) and Sal (Production & Design) plus everyone else who contributed to making these two great editions.
  3. Q1 2015 does not seem to download on Iphone Error: "Cannot determine file size" is shown. Q3 2014 downloaded to my Iphone no problem
  4. Best issue yet - keep them coming!
  5. North American carpers can save 25% on Saxon hexalite 2.50 & 2.75 test curve rods until Dec 30th 2014 (while stocks last). One of North America's best performing and top selling rods the 2.50 and 2.75 models have proven themselves landing hundreds of big carp. Now only $149.95 each - saving $50 off the regular retail price. Contact your nearest dealer outlet to order.
  6. No other country of origin, such as imported from the UK going through the USA into Canada or Mexico, is included under the NAFTA trade agreement. It applies only to products 'wholly' derived & manufactured in North America. There is a 'process' that allows goods imported 'temporarily into the USA and then exported to say Canada to apply for a refund of duty. But it is not an an easy process or by any means guaranteed. On the subject of Fedex and UPS - yes of course they charge a fee for customs clearance. It is generally around $25 per shipment which I can tell you is M-U-C-H less than other commercial shipping operations. This is because Fedex and UPS have set up their own operations to clear goods instead of 'hiring' a broker.
  7. I think you'll find NAFTA only applies to trade in goods manufactured in North America. So if goods are made in the UK for instance then import duty will still apply when shipped across the US / Canada border. It also applies to duty ratable items shipped via USPS as the package requires a customs value and origin declaration to be attached to the package.
  8. We would love to see more features and stories from CAG members... get writing and send them in
  9. Thanks to those who can rise above the usual trivial trolling and ask sensible questions... it is much appreciated.

  12. for some reason the CAG site is coming up as a full web browser instead of the simplified and easier to use mobile version on my I-phone 5. Any ideas?

  14. Thanks to everyone who has taken up the Saxon rod offer... still a few available.
  15. If they went bulk mail rate then it could take a while. As for USPS I have nothing but praise for their service. My local office and delivery folk have been excellent.
  16. I just wanted to thank all the CAG members and followers for their loyalty and business this past year. May you & your Saxon rods never tire of landing fish, your Spombs keep them feeding and your Delkims never fall silent in 2014! All the best to you and your familys.

The Midi weighs about 4.5oz when loaded and will be ideal to cast on most carp rods with test curves of 3.00 + It shares all the key features of the Mini & Large Spomb and will be an excellent addition to the range. We think it will soon become the best selling of the Spomb range! Large: $19.95 Midi: $17.50 Mini: $14.95 Dealers should have them in stock next week.

  22. The new Delkim catalog is now available on line... http://www.delkim.co.uk/virtual-brochure.php
  23. I thought I would share this amazing photo from Tackle Trade World of a Spomb just hitting the water... Please note that while the Spomb is available in both black and white colors we only import the White into North America as the typically higher summer temps over here can make the black color units open prematurely.
