My name is Barry and I was introduced to carp fishing in 05 by an older gentleman that talked me into watching how he fished for carp on the Hudson. When he got one on he handed me the pole and I've been hooked ever since.I started researching Carp fishing and was amazed at how involved it can be and I discovered that that older gentleman wasn't doing it the way it should be done. I joined CAG in 06 and read everything I could find and watched all the videos I could find about carp fishing. It took a while and a lot of trial and error but I finally started catching some "Big ins". Having the right equipment really helped a lot also. I haven't fished since 09 because of other commitments but I'm ready to get back into it this year. I can't believe how much I've forgotten and how some things have changed, but I'm always willing to learn. I've only fished in the Hudson River for carp but I would love to venture out to new places. From what I see on this forum there is a lot of places in NY I'm missing out on.
