  3. Since I haven't fished the "Big Lake" on my many ventures to Chicago I thought it might be a good idea to get a feel for it so I decided to do a "re-con mission" so to speak. On Friday I checked out the Heart of Chicago Motel and it looks to be everything Dan (Slimy) described it to be. Nothing fancy but it looks clean and safe. Next stop Wacker Baits to pick up a few bits and chat with Mr. Pezella. Only about a 20 min drive from the Motel.... a little more in traffic. Picked up my bits and baits and headed to the campground. Arrived at Montrose Harbor at 5am...3 rods in and ready to catch at
  4. Hey 911 I don't see anyone questioning the rules....just getting clarification to ensure we follow them. The first line of my post reads Not questioning the rules and/or why they are the way they are. The way I see it if you don't like the rules then don't play the game but I need some clarification and details please.

Will any bait/chum etc. you can put out using a spod and/or spomb will be allowed? OR will any bait/chum etc. you can put out using a spod and/or spomb not be allowed? Can you use a "wacker blaster" or "gardner balls out" bait launcher or similar device to introduce loose bait? Can you use a "wacker blaster" or "gardner balls out" bait launcher or similar device to introduce chum balls? Can you use PVA bags intr
  6. Just booked our room at the Heart of Chicago....Bill Hodge and me along with Dick Laubscher and Richie from Ohio will be staying there. I believe Rick Slinker and Gilbert Huxley are going to stay there as well. Looks like the Heart of Chicago is the place to be for the Classic. Thanks for all the info and legwork Dan! Looking forward to it boys.....should be a blast!
  7. Had a good time despite the tough bite (that's why it's called fishin') Saw many good friends, some I haven't seen it a while as well as the "usual suspects". -dave

    CCC 2010

Wish I could make this one but my schedule will not permit it. Having fished both Midway I and Midway II I can tell you that anyone who attends the CCC will be in for a real challenge as well as some good Ole Southern hospitality. Ever since visiting the good people of Kings Mountain 2006 I have been wanting to get back down that way again. Tom, Tell Keith and Tony and the guys I said Hi. PS...to ALL YOU MUST TRY THE LIVERMUSH!!!! here are a few pictures of MIDWAY II
  10. WTG BELLA!!!! (Kid's are growing fast Monty.....you must be proud!)
  11. Wish I could make it.......had a blast when I fished there with Tom and the good people of Kings Mountain in 2006. PS. Make sure you get some Livermush while you are there!
