  1. Here are a few photos from our recent Florida Trip. The Woodruff Dam. Above it lays Lake Seminole. Below it begins the Apalachicola River which flows 100 miles before spilling into the Gulf of Mexico: Here is a new drink called “Cool Dad on the Rocks” A few more scenes from this trip…… The Old Victory Bridge: Below the Dam The Honey Hole High Water
  2. Sunday Thoughts 1/22/12 There are some people who enjoy restoring antique furniture. Others may be interested in the restoration of old cars and trucks. To restore means to make something like new again. Even after Peter denied Jesus three times Jesus restored him. After his restoration he became one of the greatest evangelists and church planters ever!! Perhaps you have failed God (and we all have) and need some restoration. If that is the case then come see us this morning as we look at...

  3. I have now reached a total of 1950 Facebook “friends”. But I really must make a confession. To be truthful, 2-3 of my "friends" are only acquaintances (You know who you are). Come see us!

  4. Maximus Relaximus (The Ultimate Carp Hound) and I have yet to strike Gold in 2012. Due to the fact that it will be 57 degrees with little wind tomorrow we are heading to Sandy Springs!! If you happen to be in the area of Morgan Falls Dam and want to join us or just come see us we would be delighted!! Stay tuned for a possible L&R 2012 debut!!

  5. Pat: The fish pictures are all incredible! In reality, every one of them is a winner. Thanks for putting them all together & for all that you do. The Caravan keeps on rollin’ !!
  6. I agree Jerome!!!!
  7. Ladies and Gentlemen: I caught this sure to be award winning fish several years ago in the Chattahoochee ("The Hooch") River south of Downtown Atlanta. It weighed 9 lbs even and for me it was a very exciting catch!!! Come see us!
  8. Please remember that this reel comes with a 100% Slime Free Guarantee!!
  9. In my original post I failed to mention that a nice Leatherette Box also comes with this reel. The winning bidder will not be ashamed to display this handsome box anywhere!! Where else but from the Captain's Quarters could you get a certified slime free, Hooch Heirloom?? Keep bidding boys, there is still time. You will be doing a “Good Work” for CAG if you capture this Ol Captain’s coveted item. Just a few more days!!!
  10. Many of you cut your Carpin’ teeth on a Mitchell 300 Reel. For the times, there was no better reel on the market. I have decided to part with this reel because of my love for CAG and my passion for the cause. This is no ordinary Mitchell 300. Sure it has “Made in France” stamped on one side & sure you may say….”I’ve got a whole sack of those” but (change of direction) this reel has been used by a certain unnamed Ol Captain on many trips to the Hooch. This particular reel has been licked and certified slime free by the Ultimate Carp Hound himself!! The reel (like the Captain) is in good shape considering its age. Just think of the ramifications here! One of these days, when the Ol Captain’s pen is dried up and his ashes have been tossed into the sea you will have your very own personal treasure!! Finally, this reel (if used properly) is guaranteed to catch a boat load of Carp (Boat not included in the sale) !! Winning Bidder to pay directly to Paypal Address: customerservice@carpanglersgroup.com .I will ship free of charge to anywhere in the continental USA. The reel will come with a personal hand written note from yours truly. Bidding will end promptly Friday evening, Feb 11th, 8:00 PM ET. Let the bidding begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I think this is a wonderful idea. From time to time, members could donate items (or even a Come see us trip) to put up for bid!!
  12. I'll send you a story by Monday night!!
  13. If the Captain's Crew were to get on the Cover, we could do our own version of this classic (except change a few words of course) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of368QdosR0
  14. The Ol Captain will be more than honored to send in a special report from the sandy shores of the Apalachicola River. BTW, if you are going to be snowed in why not take Bird's advice and come down & see us? It will be my first trip down but if you need the inside scoop you can contact Chakram, Cool Dad, Bigbird or Coweta Carper for more info!!
