The Big Worm Posted August 9, 2015 Report Posted August 9, 2015 Was out to the Rock on Saturday to drop off posters and check the area out for event pre-conditions. Water levels are just below average and slower than normal current. Has not been significant rain for awhile. Fish have been biting and Ray at Bunnie's says fishing g has been good. With the slower water the deep spots and main river chanel should be good producers if things stay about the same. You may need to plan for a little mud along the Page Park area....but the low water may leave the small island exposed for fishing from. TWO WEEKs to go!!! Quote
Jim Reynolds Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 A few pics of what it looks like at Page Park. Quote
Jim Reynolds Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 Couple guys fished it all night and caught 15 carp. Caught more than that in four hours between noon and 4pm on the south side where the sand bar goes out about 1/3 across the river. West of the Peoria bridge . Quote
Jim Reynolds Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Carp from this afternoon. 1:30pm to 4:pm just got home before the rain. Second day in a row. Water still good. Did not have a run the last 20 minutes or so. Other than that it was steady, along with a couple of doubles. Quote
FJR1 Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 I saw Jim Reynolds today, and he reports that river conditions are still decent despite a deluge on Wednesday evening. Best of luck to all this weekend! Quote
ChicagoCarpAngler Posted August 21, 2015 Report Posted August 21, 2015 I live in Dixon and water is up about 2 days ago but water is pretty good in shape! I don't fish and I go to see some of my friends there! Quote
The Big Worm Posted August 21, 2015 Author Report Posted August 21, 2015 Truck loaded, heading out in a couple hours. See you all real soon! Quote
Zatesta Posted August 21, 2015 Report Posted August 21, 2015 Missing another one! If any of the stewards read this my advice is to NOT drink until you pass out after the first day. It makes the second day hell. Quote
