  1. Will be interesting to see if somebody is going to bid more than $49.99 on this one!
  2. Come on, no more takers? Don't tell me we have to let JD bid again...
  3. All right. $106.78, then. And JD is not allowed to bid until somebody does!
  4. Hey... Where are those pics, Mark? Are we bidding on something that doesn't exist?
  5. Ok, understood. That's an interesting idea, let's see how it pans out.
  6. Great idea, but isn't there a way to leverage on eBay to manage the bidding and payment process? (shooting in the dark, I didn't look at it, but I doubt we're the first ones doing something like that)
  7. And remember that the primary author of each of the two FFF stories selected for publication will get a $25 voucher from our sponsor Tres Flores for boilies & maize. Bill, please tell me once you've made your final selection, so that I can send their prize to the winners.
  8. I vividly remember waiting two hours in severe cold before you got one of those while it took me minutes to get one... So you can do it! Just have to work a bit more on your timing... Nope, sorry, no news from our busy webmaster on the registration form being frozen . We still have four weeks ahead of us, so no panic! Speaking of extreme cold... Would be great to see a story from the Winter Carp League guys? As a side note, I now have a pretty long list of sponsors, and I am pondering to assign one prize to a good write-up or two... Maybe the ones Bill will select for the NACA... Just to motivate writers!
  9. Thanks, Bill, great initiative, much appreciated. For sure, I will not have the final tally ready by Jan 5th, but stories are always much more important than ranking for this event, so... keep up the good up. And please make sure to include somewhere Monty's great drawing!
  10. Nicely done, Richard. I wish you the best of luck.
  11. Paul, when you have an item which says "Close out. 25% discount", and several options with a drop-off list, is the price displayed on the list already discounted or not?
  12. The following ad will be published in the coming NACA, but Bernie asked me to put it on the forum, and would like to request carp anglers to pass the word... Here it goes. If you are interested, please contact: Bernie L. Haines Golden Salmon Ranch 170 County Route 37 Massena, NY 13662 Tel: (315) 764-1324 Email: bernieh@carp.org
  13. Just spent part of the evening enjoying the DVD... This is undoubtedly a great work of passion and dedication to the sport. I especially enjoyed Dave's very clear explanations on rigs, Wayne's smile and sheer joy of fishing, the use of the fishing tank for demos, the breadth of coverage, and best of all, this nice Town Lake 20+ slowly swimming away at the end! Ah, I fell in love with this super cool carp! Yes, the beginning is a bit shaky (then the boys do get their act together), the story line is sometimes a bit erratic, and an introduction with some fishing and some simpler considerations would have been welcome instead of jumping straight into the Euro stuff, but for a first DVD, this is really a very impressive achievement, and a very enjoyable show. Seems to me this would make a great Christmas gift, or a great prize for a local event. So check it out at the ACS e-store (click here). You can also find it at Wackerbaits. Thanks, Wayne, Sean and Dave for a great display of love for the American Carp!
  14. Folks, if you want to publish an ad in the NACA, please send an e-mail to naca@carpanglersgroup.com describing your intent, and we'll take care of you, starting by sending you the ad rates. For some guidelines (notably deadlines), check this Web page.
  15. Richard, do you have a Web site of some sort?
  16. I have to say that seeing Wayne using all sorts of gear from Fox (which he readily admitted having bought at Wackers) made my day during the pre-CCC fish-in. You guys are cool, this is real nice to see. PS. now Paul, are those "bargain items" some stuff you bought from ACS recently?
  17. Just to avoid any confusion... the 2005 WCC is located in the US, and organized by the ACS. The previous WCC (the one Tim refers to) was located in Europe, and neither CAG or ACS had anything to do with it (except having some participants out there). Tim, I know this is obvious for you (and many other folks), but i thought this deserves a bit of clarification, notably for newcomers! As to your request of CAG helping, please send a request to cagstaff@carpanglersgroup.com with as many specifics as you can provide. Can't commit to do something useful, but we'll definitely think about it. PS. and hey, Tim, congrats again for your 5th place, this was quite an achievement.
  18. Great design!
  19. Good luck, Richard. You will accept an order from me, I hope?
  20. This is great news, Buster. I always thought that paylakers should represent one of the best (carp-oriented) business opportunities in the US, but this requires to tune the products to such a specific market, this seems quite obvious. You guys should be in a perfect position to do so. I wish you good luck in your endeavor.
  21. Just spent 20 minutes browsing. Very nice job, guys. Must be a ton of work behind the scenes. I'm impressed. And one has to admire a co-founder of a new tackle store who finds a way to publicly acknowledge competitors in very nice terms in his launch message. Class act, Wayne. So... Wayne appears to be the computer guy... Our special investigators provided a completly unofficial shot of the ACS office... I wonder who is doing what out there...
  22. Good move, Paul. I'm definitely a Powerpro fan. Just a warning: this thing lasts forever, so after the first order, you may have to wait quite a while for the next order from the same customer...
